  1. Question j channel source

Search for sign letter track. I just did a dozen or so signs with it, bought from a Canadian supplier so I can't help you guys down south! But I spent weeks looking for j and h channel only to have a ton of non related sign stuff pop up, and the stuff I did find was flimsy garbage... Grimco...
  2. 3M Digital Vinyl Cores and Labels

If you can weld.... These are great. They take up about 5 ft by 5 ft in floor space, they're on wheels so they roll... And hold 30 + full rolls of vinyl. Just don't try to roll it on carpet with 30 rolls on-top... Unless you have 2 people! Ignore all the loose hanging rolls too.... I have 100...
  3. 3M Digital Vinyl Cores and Labels

Technically 3M plasters everywhere that you're not supposed to stand the material on its end...so I dont think a 3M rep will say / do much if you tell them its warping when you do that! We stand a ton up too though - the cores are thinner... but I havent noticed it be a problem. The material is...
  4. ONYX THRIVE 19 RIP EPSON EDITION + dongle

Whoops, I stand corrected! I was mistaking it for onyx 12 for some reasons.. I think because 12 came with my Epson. My bad!
  5. ONYX THRIVE 19 RIP EPSON EDITION + dongle

Just an FYI... You can no longer download drivers for onyx 19 printers. So you need to hope someone else has an old file downloaded in order to get your printer to work, or you need to upgrade the dongle when you get it. Buying the dongle and doing an upgrade is still cheaper than buying new...
  6. So this is looking bad... s80600 has been turned off for a week :(

The building were in had power outages at least a dozen times a year ... We've had fried vacuum pumps on our UV, fried latex PSU, main board... We decided.to but UPS's for them all. Spent about 2.5k each x3.... Not a month later they upgraded the power in our area and we haven't had one outage...
  7. So this is looking bad... s80600 has been turned off for a week :(

I drop by the shop every 2-3 days to check on equipment / Run a small print on our UV and solvent printer. Latex I just ignore... :roflmao: Theoretically if the machines are turned on you should be fine leaving it for 2 weeks. But why not spend 15 mins every few days to make sure your 20k /...
  8. Onyx Thrive 19 patches/updates gone

[Edit] Replied to the wrong thread! Glad it worked for you.
  9. Onyx Thrive 19 patches/updates gone

You're right...forgot I linked you to it. Their index page is gone, but the direct link works! had to manually type it out from our convo because S101 took a "Screenshot" of it to use it as an index thumbnail... :roflmao...
  10. Onyx Thrive 19 patches/updates gone

They added intermediate marks in a patch. Send them an email with your onyx version number and they'll email the updated file to you - even when they had all the files on their website, they had more updates available... You just had to ask for them. It's a dumb system!
  11. HP Scitex FB500 Printing issues fogging/overspray

We had the same issue with Magenta - HP warrantied the magenta ink, after purging / re-filling ink it was fine.... and then at about 50% it did the same thing. HP warrantied it again... worked fine... then at 20% same thing. a few years ago, it was a "known issue". Black also started to do it -...
  12. Question Roland BN-20 does anyone know?

Sometimes you have to value the fun / experience at more than you value the amount you could make if you just focussed on selling stuff. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy!
  13. Computer type

My first PC Was a pre-built - My mom bought it from one of those Pay XX a month for a PC... think we spent like double what it should be, and it sucked. I remember adding a Zip drive to it... and they sent an installer over to do it, was like $250 for what amounts to plugging in 2 cables...
  14. Computer type

PC building is so simple these days. Partpicker will even prevent you from ordering a part that's not compatible. You can YouTube a how to build a PC guide and follow along... It's all dropping this part into that slot, and 99% of the time it'll only fit into one slot. The only sketchy thing...
  15. Custom Mouse Pads and Keyboard for Gaming?

https://www.lttstore.com/products/deskpad LTT Mousepads are decent quality, you do pay a premium.. but I love the size, and ive bought some cheap ones on Amazon for half the price, and they fall apart - So yes, you pay a premium... but Linus cares about quality as much as profit, and wont...
  16. Transport Roland bn 20

A mile down the road? I'd just put it in your front seat and drive it over. I've driven machines 20KM Without doing much - If it was going a long distance you may want to tape the carriage so it doesnt bounce around... but I dont think thats even necessary on a 1 mile venture.
  17. Reliable QR Code Generator?

French is a pain. We just had a Tylenol shortage for kids - We're being hit really hard with Covid / Flu / RSV... Every hospital is over run with kids with fevers - Cant get kids meds though... Because they ran out of boxes with french on it. Theres stockpiles of kids fever meds waiting to be...
  18. Reliable QR Code Generator?

Similar story.... We do all the high pressure decals for a pipeline, were talking 25-50,000 reflective decals applied to carsonite posts that get spread out all throughout the country. Customer supplied art... Both in English and French (Canadian law... Stupid, but whatever). Well years after...
  19. Will a properly set up HP 115 latex printer print grainy images?

Just want to point out - I mainly sell stickers. When I had my latex, I've sold to thousands of different customers, many repeat. Never once was I told the image was grainy. I could point out screen printing is smooth and call solvent "garbage" because compared to Its grainy. Or solvent vs...
  20. Looking for my first printer

Ah, yes, ND does latex. https://reinvent.hp.com/na-en-printsamples-latex-stitch you can request samples from the 700/800 here - it'll be a bit better quality than a solvent. If you're printing once every 2 weeks.. go for latex. They work great sitting idle for weeks at a time. Not a fan...
