Hold on guys..... My Signlab 8 opened the file OK...There was just something in the logo portion that may have had masking that I had trouble with. The fonts all came out just right, but not as fonts , but as a graphic. I mean I have been importing eps files for over 25 years and never once did...
I was sent an eps file from a customer. I imported it into Signlab and found that there was some stroke data that was giving me trouble so I emailed the eps to my designer and when he was opening it in illustrator he casually made a comment that the font was hilighted in pink and that he would...
3M 7725 vinyl on the synthetic liner and a fairly new blade. I have to do key drop boxes for a very large car rental company and they insist on cut vinyl. Helvetica medium upper and lower case at .35" Using paper backed vinyl was near impossible but the 3M 7725 makes it a breeze.
I need some education on these. How does it work? Is there software I can buy that will allow me to input numbers to generate the codes and custom design, then print laminate and cut?
I was forced to move to a low end banner stand for a very good client. We used to use the Orbus Orient with never any issues. They had received a very low quote from a competitor and I realized that the stand was a cheap POS. I pleaded with them that it was a mistake to move to this type of...
I have had a few over the years.... I would overprice everything for him to get rid of him...if he stays than I get paid for having to smell him. There was a guy in here last week who was with the designer for over an hour. I have noticed something with this guy before...it was coming from his...
Tried calling Grimco in Toronto this morning and I get a taped messagae that the number is out of service. Tried the 1 800 number and the same. Then tried calling Montreal... The same. Next tried Dartmouth and it actually rang, but no one answered. These guys going out of business? wtf?
Not trying to thread hijack, but curious about all these different composite aluminum suppliers. Some have a 10 year warranty others have a 5 year...Max Metal I have no idea but because it is cheap I have my suspicions. But more out of curiousity has anyone ever seen this stuff fail? What...
I run Jet Best n my Mimaki and have found them to be much better than OEM in that I never ever get banding anymore and the ink is much more scuff resistant. The price is about half the cost of OEM.
I think these little cutters are remarkable. simple idea that really comes in handy for cutting away backing paper. The only flaw with the device is that the blades can get dull and then suddenly in the middle of holding a rather large piece of vinyl , the cutter refuses to cut and instead just...
I'm with Gino on this...I remember the question about 6 months ago too. I'm not sure why Gino got all fired up...I figure the OP does not know how to search through his own threads
The job was actually not big at all..maybe 50" x 30" with about 25 logos on the page. the cut is a simple oval. I always set up in Signlab and send across as I am much faster using that software. I forgot to mention something else and that was that on some of the lettering on the logo it had...
I had a job where the client wanted the same logo in different sizes and different colour combinations. After setting up the file in Signlab, I exported to Flexi and set up a contour cut and everything for one logo. I then arranged all the different sizes, so I could print once for each colour...
I have noticed a slight soreness in my right shoulder this winter and attribute it to squeegeeing premask and applying vinyl......but I blame Bowling once a week for most of it.
