  1. Mimaki UCJV300-160 supply ink error.. HELP

No ink filters in the UCJV300
  2. Mimaki UCJV300-160 supply ink error.. HELP

I solved a supply ink error yesterday by draining the effected bottle tank (with bottle removed), both through line to back of solenoid and the center hole (covered by blue plug on color lines) to empty. Loaded a flush bottle, waited until bottle tank was full, then flushed out main line to...
  3. Best places to buy Jetbest bulk ink ?

Contact them directly. I’ve never had issues with their shipping prices being in Ohio. If you have a UPS account with better rates than they offer, I’m sure they’ll let you send a label. Shipping prices are subjective, especially when being calculated on an online store.
  4. Canon Colorado M Series.

Do you have a machine running at the Cleveland office?
  5. Roland LEJ-640 in CMYK mode (4 heads only)?

Yep! Then just make sure you keep an eye on their levels and replace as needed. I use bulk carts with bulk solution to keep the cost down.
  6. Roland LEJ-640 in CMYK mode (4 heads only)?

The protocol on the Roland machines when you no longer want to use white/clear is to put cleaning carts in. I’m very aware there’s a difference. I don’t have the info if the board will allow it to operate without them in place. If it was me, I’d power down, remove power cord, take a picture for...
  7. Roland LEJ-640 in CMYK mode (4 heads only)?

Cleaning carts in the white/clear. I’ve had a dead head in my white/clear slot for years. I do believe the board needs something in there, but you for sure don’t need them to work or have ink flowing.
  8. UCJV300 - Third Party Inks

I’ve used both STS & JetBest 170 compatible. Both are no flush from OEM. If you don’t like the one, swap an OEM in, and try the next one when that bottles over. I experienced no print differences with either.
  9. UCJV300 - Third Party Inks

Huh? STS & JetBest are both available and easy to find in the US on first page of google. Both work great.
  10. BN-20 Print

Was the nozzle test perfect when you purchased? Cause if it was on its way out when you bought, you got stuck with the lemon. A replacement head for this is expensiveeeee.
  11. Mimaki UV inks expire sometimes in a month, beware

Tell your dealer you’ll be buying elsewhere if they send you short dates ever again. There’s many places to buy.
  12. File server question

Massive hard drives are practically free now. I manage all data through google drive, no physical data held period. Been this way for a decade. Data is quick and easy accessible from any computer or device I'm logged into. Couple bucks a month for the heavy storage. I sleep well at night.
  13. Higher prices appear to be here to stay

Considering American politics specifically is just both sides lying to us about how they don’t personally support corporations taking advantage of the people, but are both funded by every shady corporation ever. 10/10, love it.
  14. Question question about print width on a sp300-v

The older Roland’ have too much media shift to safely print edge to edge. You’ll get ink on your platen when, not if, your media shifts. If you want to be safe, you survive on that 28.5” or whatever max output. Others may say otherwise, but it’s not worth the mess or risk.
  15. Need help to solve gradient color not printing properly in EPSON S80670

A flattened high res raster saved In jpeg with print exactly the same as a pdf. Raster is raster. I see no difference between file types when exporting 300dpi raster.
  16. Opinions on backlit signs with printers that print white

Ucjv300 can do this all in 1 step.
  17. UCJV300-160 Pinch rollers mark on a vinyl surface

If your machine is older, replace the pinch rollers. I found that the crappy Amazon replacements are softer and last longer than the OEM’s. We smashed through the OEM pinch rollers in 3 months. These are held on by o rings, so Mimaki absolutely considers them a consumable.
  18. Does graphic card matter?

Don’t cheap out on a crappy computer. Read reviews. Anything designed for and confirmed from reviews for high powered design will do perfectly. I bought a higher-middle end Lenovo laptop that runs photoshop, illustrator, rasterlink, and versaworks perfectly. Was about a grand. Monitor...
  19. Recently Purchased Roland LEC2-640

Demand Roland replace it. You can cause a stir to get what you paid for, it does work if you’re cutthroat enough.
  20. UCJV300 - Whats your technique for getting the captops out?

There’s cheap knockoffs? Those caps are expensive I wouldn’t mind a cheapie haha
