  2. looking for someone to help modify a file

b/w and grayscale are two different entities. Yes, photopaint will do it. You can also do it within coreldraw.
  3. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

Very rare occasion you can get by with the outermost pinch rollers falling outside the substrate to get maximum cut width. As long as you have the other two holding somewhere. We don't have a print AND plot Mimaki. Also anything that requires machine cut will be laminated and I believe that...
  4. rasterlink 6 Double cutting

Hard to tell with a pdf. Something could be happening on eps output. Check your settings in illy. Also very rarely do we print eps files. We use a mimaki plotter only for plotting. We print with an HP. We then open the file in Corel then use the FineCut plugin to plot. The same can be done with...
  5. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

This would be a typical setup for me.

Yep. Got one in the shop now.
  8. rasterlink 6 Double cutting

And let's not forget that a fill with a stroke/outline will equal 2 cuts. 1 for the fill & 1 for the outline.
  9. Corovirus workers

Have to admit, I did chuckle a bit when I saw it.
  10. Question Coreldraw X7 and Flexisign 19 problem

We try to stick to pdf. Eps can be tricky when gradient fills are used. Always use pdf with fonts converted unless text heavy. If most elements are raster we use rgb tiff with LZW compression at 150dpi unless really large.
  11. HR Dept says we're not "essential"

Sorry all, I had no idea anyone was waiting the outcome. We have a clearance letter from the city planner, who apparently, has more clout than the mayor. We've been working with somewhat minimal staff, curbside pickup, phone in payments, drop box, shipments are dropped at the door, etc. We've...
  12. Question Coreldraw X7 and Flexisign 19 problem

Why import to Flexi? Design in Corel export to a hot folder and use Flexi Production Manager to print. We use this method daily as we have two different designer workstations and the Flexi RIP is it's own pc. Designers just drop stuff in the hot folder and the Print Tech can manage prints
  13. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

We only use a Mimaki plotter. We use an HP for printing. And EVERYTHING gets laminated unless for 1-5 days use. - I would never recommend only 3 of 4 pinch rollers. Use all 4 with the 2 outermost set to high or tight grip and the 2 inner ones to low grip. You can use two on smaller runs but set...
  14. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

With these type of reg marks you could get the same amount of decals and still allow more distance between.
  15. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

    What's going on here?
  16. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

These decals are laminated I hope. Might try slowing the speed down too. Too much "jerking" back and forth can cause problems too.
  17. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

5mm is kind of tight. I usually run our decals about 1/4" apart. Especially if punch cutting. Mimaki CG-160FXII CorelDraw X7 w/FineCut 8 plug-in I set it all up within corel (cut layer, cut lines, reg marks, step and repeat etc.) whole lot easier that way. In some cases the pinch rollers can be...
  18. Help with perf cutting on mimaki cjv 150-75

Perf cut? You mean kiss-cut or shape cut? Or "Half cut" or punch out? Distance between decals? We don't get roller marks using the low setting.
  19. Need Help How to get into sign business and learn more about it?

Majority of the signs we do here in this part of Florida don't require permits unless digging. No electrical though, not licensed. Learn the different substrates and don't forget the majority of signs are laminated. May also want straight RTA(ready to apply) vinyl on hand in standard colors...
  20. HR Dept says we're not "essential"

401k, medical, dental, vision, supplemental medical, vacation pay, sick pay, etc. Sounds intimidating to me but I've never owned a company before. Not even sure what an employers cost is to hire a payroll company.
