We use the 360 and it's a pia to switch media multiple times a day. Form the videos I have seen the 560 is much easier to switch media. We're considering adding a 560 to alleviate having o switch so often. We'll have one set for shorter life roll media and the other for vehicle wraps.
We do these quite often. I use a corel macro that will "average" the height to a desired input.
We've had many request smaller size, crazy fonts and Such We make them sign a waiver knowing damn well they're not compliant. Boat people = "I have money and don't care"
Once in my travels I inadvertently took turn onto a street and didn't realize it was one way and I was going the wrong way. There weren't any cars on the road at the time so as soon as I realized my error I was so ticked off I did a high speed 180 and no one knew a thing. Well except the wife...
File size has nothing to do with disc space. File size that takes 20 minutes to RIP is unacceptable! I've sent some pdf's to print and when my print tech tells me it's taking a long time to RIP I'll throw a tiff at 'em. RIPs in seconds.
Corel? First choice PDF with fonts converted.
You can use eps just as long as the design is fairly simple. When you get into complex fills and special effects eps can be problematic.
I'm surprised no one is mentioning the quality at these ridiculous speeds. Just like a cars horsepower figures are at the crank of an engine. factor in the energy consumed to get that power to the wheels it's usually about an amount 20-25% less than that number. The print speed rating is at a...
Might try a static guard spray. We used to use it when printing directly to pvc. We also have a wide type of roller that's sticky to run over the sheet. Kind of like a lint roller. Comes with a tear off sticky pad to "renew" the roller with.
Still chugging here in NW Florida. No complete shut down just minimizing staff to 32 hrs a week. Getting a lot of orders for High School grad yard signs now. Couple of vehicle installs and waiting on the word from the college on a job that got put on hold.
We price per linear foot and yes, install is worked into the quote as well. Couldn't quote on the spot though. It would have to be put together by a designer then see how they can best fit it into a cut file and then estimate time and distance to install. If you're shopping to undercut another...
Could be the way their software interpreted the color. As seen here when I use your pdf. Also I hate when I see these color formulas (#F15B26). I've always assumed these are more "web safe" formulas as opposed to print formulas. I know my color palette is not set up in this manner. It's...
The Mark Detect happens twice. The first(from the plotter) is to make sure it has the room to plot. The second happens when you hit plot from FineCut to get her actual coordinates of what is to be cut.
What length are you plotting? Anything over 120" is going to be tough. We'll do multiple runs...
Awesome!
Unrelated to signs but speaking of cars and museums...one year we drove out to Texas to watch my stepson graduate basic military training. My son, who would graduate high school the next year rode with us. He had mentioned that there was a Hennessey Performance School somewhere...
