We get over 1800 s/f/h on our QSR with better quality than any Mutoh Mimaki or Roland at 720. right down to 4 pt text.
Sounds like the guy getting 25-300 s/f/h has an older press vu 200/600 those inks do not flex at all either.
Uv Curable is the way to go...
Vutek QS or GS series
HP/Scitex XP series..
Vutek has advantage that the ink is conformable. We do wraps with our QSR with no issues.
I would invest in a real production printer that can handle the volume and much more.
1500 s/f can be done in less than an hour with real firepower.....1080 dpi non the less..
Mutohs, Mimakis and Roland will never get the throughput you need. Not to mention the insane ink costs...
We just started to use your Luminosity 8.5 mil backlit film. Best inkjet backlit film we have used so far.
Print on Vutek qs3200r at 1080 dpi. Quality and media is comparable to the Duratrans we get from our Lightjet but not limited to a 10 foot sheet.
anyone know what this Error is from and how to override.
ERR51 PINCH POS2
It errors out when it gets to the 3rd pinch. Will only read 2 pinch rollers at a max of 15 " wide.
QS2000 is much more of a production machine. Intended and proven for real print volume...
Sure it is more expensive but well worth it.
The FB950 is a toy compared to the Vutek....
The only real Scitex production machines were developed and made in Israel not Minnesota...
Just like the tanks...
To Matt's Family and friends. Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you.
It is very evident by the posts on this thread that Matt has impacted a tremendous amount of people in many positive ways... I as all of you, am very moved by the love, respect and bond all on this site have expressed...
We had some issues with V2 Cyan did the same thing. The primary filters first get premature clogging then The Manifold gets clogged with crap and then makes its way to the nozzles of the heads and clogs them and cures on the nozzles.
They did cover the heads 4 of them and credited service...
Is this Dave Mee???
Long time no talk.. Hope all is well.
All of our JV3's are still in production working daily...
Still to this day I comment on how the 250sp back in 2003 paved the way to our production evolution..
Best Regards,

Big Color...
Not sure if any Gandi flatbed guys have seen the ads or heard of Western Quartz.
They make UV lamps for for the 1224 and 3150.
The lamps are better than the OEM and only cost $284.00 each.
They also have lamps for Vutek QS series at $183.00 each

Greg...
I got it.
I think the issue is that most here do not know you as well....Or have never worked or networked with you.
For the record GP is a cool guy with an awesome company....
We have a Zund L3000. I can tell you it is one of the best investments we have ever made. Takes the place of 4 finishing guys.
Anyone who tells you different does not own one.
One guy can cut a roll of 60 4 x 8 banners out in 45 minutes.
One guy can cut 500 18x24 coros at about 1 hour...
We do..
Just based on history with our bigger production printers. I kind of look at it like changing your old but not the filter.
I would say it is a shops working preference on how they operate and maintain machines. What works for one may not work for another.
put a brand new ribbon cable on the side of head not firing. Switching ribbons will not work as each color fires at different volts and over time the ribbon cables function based on what connector is "firing hotter" than another.
99.5% sure it is that ribbon cable the new head wants to fire...
