  9. Windows 7 64 bit and Versaworks problem

Honestly, I have never tried. I suspect that it would run on Home Premium, but just isn't supported.
  10. Windows 7 64 bit and Versaworks problem

That version of Versaworks is okay. It should run on Win 7 64 Bit.
  11. Windows 7 64 bit and Versaworks problem

I am fairly certain that there is a little confusion here. Versaworks is a 32 bit app, but it is compatible with 64 bit Windows 7 and would normally appear just fine. Being a 32 bit app really doesn't cause it to look any different than a 64 bit app. If it is not rendering correctly on your...

  16. 'Cannot find port" error message

I guess that there is no guarantee that my suggestion will work, but it is a reasonable thing to try. I would use a Serial add-in card or connect a bracket to a Serial header 100% of the time. I absolutely despise serial-USB adapters.
  17. 'Cannot find port" error message

I hate to sound like a broken record, but I have run into this before. I would think that either slapping in an inexpensive PCIe serial card, or if your motherboard has a serial header, a $3 serial bracket would be worth a shot. If your computer guy is monitoring this thread, he is welcome to...
  18. PS to AI

    Makes sense to me.
  19. Most Cost Effect (Cheapest) Monitor For Design And Printing?

I guess that I should mention that for best results in Premier Color, you will need a GPU capable of 10Bit OpenGL, not 10Bit DirectX. This means if you are using an Nvidia card, it must be a Quadro using a DisplayPort connection. It is driver restricted. But even without an expensive Quadro...
  20. Most Cost Effect (Cheapest) Monitor For Design And Printing?

Those monitors come color-calibrated. And yes, there is an application.
