Glad you got it working - sounds like you were pretty Thorough . The board could have a bad solder joint somewhere - tough to find, everything has its issues these days.
Nice - I like seeing these old machines rebuilt - Are you replacing the Ink supply lines ? Ive never gotten up the nerve to spend on a new factory set .
Most of the Manufacturers are like that - There is no way to tell how tech savy a printer owner is or who is running / maintaining the machines. People will sometimes take things apart, make adjustments, or handle components roughly without knowing or understanding what they are doing...
You were right, Thanks - I took a closer look and although the uv covers were clear the reflectors inside the unit had a fine film of powdery dust - Cleaned up easily and it made a definite difference in firming up the white. Its still kinda tacky after print but firms up after a few hours...
I have it happening on 2 UJF-3042s , the lamp units are not missing any LEDs, all are firing brite - I checked all the segments - I dont have a way to judge the intensity but they all light and look pretty brite and the lenses are clear no haze or ink - I keep them clean with denatured alcohol...
I have two machines running Lf-140 Cartridges from the same batch , very close to expiration. The White began to cure soft and sticky and easily rubs off the surface. The other inks are fine. Both printers are having the same issue. Ive had the Inks catalyze and solidify before but Ive...
Look at every possibility before you decide to start pulling boards - The Main board in that machine needs to have the factory settings loaded into the new board to get it to work - You will need a tech to walk you through doing that or do it for you . I could easily have some of this wrong and...
I Understand, Which model printer do you have ? Does it use an Epson DX5 printhead ? So Originally you lost two channels on the printhead, but it still worked on the others - then the yellow ink line pulled out - do any of those ribbon cables with the blue strip plug into the printhead ...
I would go back to plan A - Netsol detailed it perfectly and its the least expensive way if your very careful - If your uncomfortable with tech best to unplug it and wait till you can get someone who knows the machine well . I would not write off the head or the board yet . If your lucky...
netsol is spot on - the ink has gotten down into the connectors and across the contacts on the board to the left and the head connector and anywhere else it went - You should disconnect the connectors and clean them and the board surface with a fine brush and denatured alcohol - clean it...
Awesome Im ordering new Decals - One of my printers came with Blue tape from the previous owner - disturbing to look at lol Really appreciate the part # !
Please share if you find a source for new panel decals - Ive never found a part number for them - was thinking about printing my own but what a pain for just a few .
Your right - I think this is more from me being excited about not getting skinned on print heads . Theres really no way to check anyone out except by recommendation . In all fairness This is on me because I asked the question .
Ordered From TD Digital - Gen 4 Ricoh heads for my UJF-3042 Showed up within a few days - Very well packed, Brand new - the real deal - no hassle no issues and no anxiety - Many thanks guys !
