in the drop down add more color layers to include the white background. If you just have a 2 color logo then in the drop down have 3 colors to trace. If you only have it set to 2 then Flexi will disregard the white.
My shop runs 3 inkjets and a Gerber Edge 2. Thermal is good at what its good at. Clear decals with white or color over white. Reverse print on cling and stuff like that. I keep our Edge in service just to print a few things i cant print with inkjet.
so if a Gerber Edge is what will work for you...
I would outsource if all I was printing was 10 to 15k decals a year on a machine. Printers love to be printing and hate sitting idle. But If I had to buy something I would buy a used Roland Ecosol printer. Any model would be fine but if you wanted to not spend a ton and if the heads were to go...
We use the Desktop subscription. We did the same, upgrade after 2 or 3 years. It sucks to be on their subscription plan but I didnt want our books to on "their" servers. I have an old 54in laminator. The bottom roller has a slight cut in it. It still runs good and would work for an application machine for hard substrates. I just bought a new one when the employee ran his olfa knife across it.
You pick it up or arrange shipping and you can have it.
We are busy with customers that I usually turn away. Our big fleet customers are really hurting and in that area we are too. We are off by more than 150 vehicles this year than last year. The chip shortage is what they are blaming. Nissan isn't shipping NV vans anymore, at least thats what we...
When I do a head swap or damper change I use an irrigation syringe and draw ink into the dampers. I also use them to pull ink through a capping station.
So did you not go into service mode prior to pulling the old head and put in the new rank number? I have changed heads and not change the number because it was a used head and the sticker was wiped off with solvent. Not recommended but usually not the end of the world
What head # did you change...
