Have them get some simple green and clean the areas with that. We have clients use it before a wash to clean bugs and tar and random shit off.
You can dilute it 50-50 and use it for general cleaning without rinsing it off afterwards. That works good for water spots and hand prints between...
1st off, most epoxies have no UV inhibitors in them and break down as a result. Some just yellow and some will completely come apart.
I always use a good clear over any epoxy we use. We have layed up a lot of carbon fiber over the years using west systems and always clear coated the parts.
You...
My bad. I get mixed up sometimes on what has what in it. Yes my mind replaced the S with a P when I read his post.
5K for a DX7 head with travel and consumables is probably on par.
5K???? how many print heads are you having replaced? That machine runs 4 heads. 4@$750= $3000 so $2000 for labor? Is the tech flying in? even at $200 an hour that is 10 hours labor. I was figuring the heads with markup not bottom line pricing. so I would guess the tech would make additional...
Check all the head ribbon cables. That print looks bad. You definitely have bad connection or something happening with the headboard. I would also check the cut carriage cable and connections. Clean the encoder strip and the sensor.
What changed when the printer started to misfire? Headstrike...
Same stuff with us. The other day we got a call and email from agency to install 2 Chick Fil A cars. Half wrap and super detailed install. Willing to pay us $400 each. Funny thing is I had already bid the job complete through the VW dealership. I guess we were to expensive. Sad thing is, someone...

I think the owner of Imagination Corp used to be on here some. They are on another level for sure. It would be great to produce signs of that caliber IF you have the clients to support it.
We usually get the "We want a great sign but can we just get a banner for now. We ran out of budget on our...
That is awesome. Definitely a lost art now days. I give you great props for sure.
Laser cut will be smoother than 3D printed for sure.
What are you going to cast it in?
I used to cast a ton of stuff in pewter and brass. Hand made bucks and sheet rubber molds in a heated press, then spun in an...
Just download whatever version of windows you want to emulate from microsoft.

Is the clunking coming from one side or is it in the same spot every time? If its clunking behind the end cover it is probably the servo motor out of adjustment. If it is in the same spot every time then I would look at the carriage guide rail or the cable/belt. If it is the belt it might be a...
I never heard that before. Been running Gerber Edge's from the beginning AKA knob style, and have always been told 99% IPA on everything.
This situation looks like a material issue to me.
Is that banner media?
If so unroll enough off the roll to do the job. I get light lines with new roll of banner and the printer having to pull it off the roll.
IMO if I can get 50 to 75% there with current software then I'm good. I'm a sign craftsman and make my living that way.
With enough time and money thrown at a problem you can find a solution. Is the current software "end all be all" NO not in the least. Should the OP pursue this? If he wants to...
Have it primed in either epoxy or urethane and sanded with 600 - 1000 grit. Wash it then clean with Alcohol and wrap away. Urethane will be easier to sand than epoxy so that would be my go to.
Have you tried soaking the heads in cleaning solution? Pinch off the captop drain hose and fill the captop with cleaning solution. Park the heads and let it sit for an hour or more. Run a clean and then test print to see if you opened up the nozzles.
When was the last time it had new captop...
