Keep in mind that Mimaki looks at the printer from the side on so the Y axis for people like me who works on them is actually left and right and the X axis is up and down. I assume that you're having issues with the alignment left to right? Also, the alignment process for "with crops" and...
Here's what chatGPT has to say when I asked it if AI has gone too far because it can make pictures of presidents with mullets:
No, AI has not gone too far if it can make images of presidents with mullets. The ability of AI to generate realistic images using deep learning algorithms has advanced...
Head heat tends to blow the fuse but it's not the actual cause. You're going to need to find where the short is happening that is causing the fuse to blow or you will just blow the new fuse too. It's usually going to be the head cables that are bad but it could be anything from the head to the...
I agree it seems electrical and I would start with the head cables. That being said, I've been doing this a long time and I've never seen a pattern like that on the nozzle test. Something funky is going on.
Either the head is dragging on something with ink on it, ink is built up on the bottom of the head, or the head may be damaged internally. I would check the bottom of the head first to make sure you don't have a ton of ink building up which makes little inkcicles that can drag on the media but...
When you take the cap top off it will expose the tubes connected to it. They are just friction fit so you just pull the tubes off the cap top. Try to grab as close to the cap top as possible as to not stretch the tubes too far. Then I use a tapered syringe with cleaning solution, stick it in the...
There is no official procedure because technically you're not supposed to switch. Normally you just need to flush the machine and then change system parameter number 32 to whatever ink set you want to use but unfortunately it's more complicated than that on the CJV150. Most CJV150s don't support...
I actually have used ChatGPT and it was pretty interesting. I asked it how to fix a Mimaki printhead that has clogged nozzles and gave a nonsense answer. My job is still safe for now! If you ask it very broad questions it does really well. The coolest feature was I could describe a Python script...
Bordeaux sells through dealers so that's probably why they don't have the price on there but I agree, giving people an idea about the cost would be helpful!
Bordeaux has an aftermarket ink for the LUS170s. I don't have any customers using it yet but I'm pretty sure it's because most people are still under warranty so they haven't made the switch yet.
The official spec sheet says the metallic have a 5 year outdoor life but can be shorter depending on how vertical the surface is. If you're using any of the "brilliant" colors, they only get 3 years. However, the spec sheet does call it all cast with no mention of calendared.
The dampers can have ink in them and the head might still not be 100% filled. Since you are getting some nozzles to print, you don't have an electrical issue. How did you initially fill the system after the head was installed? Did you suck ink into the damper with a syringe or did you run an ink...
