  1. Mutoh RJ6100 LCyan Comes out Purple in TEST print

I don't know how the RJ6100 is setup but you've obviously got magenta/light magenta in your lines/head/dampers somehow.
  2. Tiles printing at wrong size!

I was thinking the same thing. You can get a variation as to whether the media is printed not yet attached to the take up (or is attached during the print) and then the next print is printed attached..but then realised that the 1204 doesn't have a tensioning take up (or am I behind the times?)...

  4. Favorite Quote from a Customer Today

What about the full size 'sample'.... or the customer that you show 2 different layouts to and they come back with... "I can't decide...can you make both signs and I'll pick one?"
  5. Mutoh VJ 1614 - Vertical Banding - Dealer No Help

Randya just posted this in another thread... Or bypass the RIP altogether - http://www.mutoh.com/kb/entry/68/
  6. Mutoh VJ 1614 - Vertical Banding - Dealer No Help

Yep, same RIP...I tried everything to get rid of it..what I had to do was reinstall the software...don't ask me why, I don't know, but it fixed my problems. I can't say it will fix your problem, but when I saw your pics of the 'vertical banding' it just looked exactly the same.
  7. Mutoh VJ 1614 - Vertical Banding - Dealer No Help

Again...What program are you using to create artwork and what RIP? I've seen this exact pattern with mimakis whilst using Photoprint. Is it repeating this when only sending a .jpeg or .tiff through the RIP?
  8. Firefox Add-ons/Extensions.....

  9. who's using aspire

I think he's talking about Aspire(cnc software) not Inspire.
  10. Please help ?????

I use Metamark..looks like heat settings combined with humidity, cold weather.. Metamark is thin and the vacuum will pull it down usually but not what you've shown. try turning down your heat and leave half a metre (yard) of whitespace before the print and it usually works. I haven't seen it...
  11. Let me tell you about Chuck

Yep, I know this stuff can seem daunting...take a note or screen shot of your setup before changes. In the 'driver' parameters, advanced and communication dropdowns you can select 'defaults'...could be someone has changed a setting. How fast does the machine seem to be running? If it's...
  12. convert cj500 to solvent or go out of business?

The first solvent machines with epson heads were just converted aqueous machines...mimaki and roland included. I still have an antique I'm looking at right now...Mimaki Resolve 180B, printed thousands of metres of vinyl, banner, backlit. They put in some solvent resistant lines, a wiper and a...
  13. Let me tell you about Chuck

Andy is pretty well spot on in what he's suggesting without knowing the Enroute software... The Multicam controller will accept Gcode (.cnc extension)and HPGL(.plt) files... If I were you I would go into the 'Active Drivers" in Enroute and select the 'Multicam - 2D' 'driver' (HPGL-LIN ) in the...
  14. Let me tell you about Chuck

Have you got the right driver set up in Enroute and not the default A.R.T.? You should have MultcmGC - GCode I can't believe it is jerking and shaking from the factory...they do test these things before they ship them...sounds weird to me.

  16. why is laminating such a PAIN :frustrated:

Works for me that way as well with no backing paper. I've laminated 50m (50 yards) that way. Like the other guys have stated...in all in the starting procedure. It HAS to go in straight.
  17. EternalSoul Studios

Hi Greg and Greg from another Greg Really confusing/frustrating website...really. I'm just being constructive. Links in text are too 'hide 'n' seek'...maybe ok for the web savvy or people with too much time on their hands but most customer/clients are busy/impatient..they like to click things...
  18. Pantone matching for digital printing

...That's probably the best question in this thread. Forget PMS Numbers and just look at the colour for what it is. Then ask yourself...'How do I match that?" Then you are on the road to successful colour management and output.
  19. Pantone matching for digital printing

I agree with you on Pantone losing it's 'be all and end all' status, but I do get to quote more and more Pantone spec'd artwork everyday. I suppose for me, as a sign maker, it's not all about Pantone per se...it's about hitting colours. Pantone, paint swatches, vinyl colours etc. I've had...
  20. Pantone matching for digital printing

Jim, I can see your point of view, after years of frustration with colour 'matching' ('simulation' is what I prefer to call it) this solution seems to address my problems with colour matching and Pantone issues. After all is said and done..the customer or designer wants what they...
