I'm not sure what you are asking, you seem to ask how to produce it and then tell how you're going to produce it......I would do that out of some heavier frosted acrylic, at least 3/8" preferably 1/2" or better. It would be CNC cut and attached in the manner you describe. The prints don't look...

That's exactly correct...maybe you have the wrong grommets for your press.

If you are using webbing on the edges, try marking the hole with the grommet press and then cut a little X with a razor knife where the hole is and then try pressing the grommet through. That might work if it's only an occasional banner but if you are doing it regularly you need something else...
