  1. Art fees set up fees fees fees

This is the sign of business boys and girls. There's only a price. Period. No setup fees, no art fees, no radioactive waste disposal fees. just sign->price. If you're not sufficiently intelligent to generate a price that will, if not make money, at least not lose money, then perhaps you'd be...
  2. Excellent Folding Table For Shop

Amusingly primitive, very clever, and useless. Most people, like myself, have far more floor space than wall space.
  3. Anyone else disturbed..

Iranians? They won't do anything precisely because of actions like bumping off Soleimani. They'll huff and puff, people will dance around chanting, burning flags, and cutting off their ears, but the lesson has been delivered. The specimens in charge realize, or should realize, that things have...
  4. van lettering should i go with the molding line or use a level?

Ease up to any vehicle, with a level scribe a line. What does that line indicate? Absolutely nothing! Never, as in ever, use a level when lettering a vehicle.
  5. Some handlettered work

Skilled work but he duck should have been facing the other way.
  6. Osama Bin Lauden

It says you have to have this to purchase a handgun, it does not say you have to have one to posses a handgun.
  7. Best cutting ruler? NOT ALUMINUM!

Wow, what a bunch of maladroits. I've been using 2" aluminum drywall rules in various lengths for decades an have never, ever, managed to cut anything except what I intended to cut. Safety rules are for idiots. That being said, I admit to having a couple of them. Their only use is when I need a...
  8. Import PDF file into CorelDraw and one name changes....

Interesting that one line of text changes into another properly spelled and in context line. Is the fraudulent line somewhere in the PDF? Perhaps overlayed with the correct text?
  9. How do you manage your color match

Been doing exactly that for lo these many years and have never, as in ever, had an issue. What comes out of the printer is the truth.
  10. Graphtec FC8600 not cutting accurately

Since you didn't show where the cut line should be as well as where it actually is, it's hard to see your problem. If the error is constant then you need to look at the mark sensor to blade distance adjustment. If not constant is it in the X, Y, or both directions?
  11. Suggested dpi for non-vector image

It's not so much the size of the image, it's more a question of how much memory are you packing. Depending. The optimum color output usually is obtained by printing at no less than a 4:1 ratio of input resolution to output resolution. Using an RGB bitmap at 150ppi and printing at 720dpi, or...
  12. Not Printing what I see on screen

What comes out of the printer is the truth, not what appears on your monitor. I've been using Corel since before the most of your were born and exporting for Flexi for almost as long. In Corel make sure all bitmaps are RGB and export bitmaps as a zero compression JPG. Export all else as CMX...
  13. the Best Gray's with CMYK

Grays are the most difficult colors to print. If a gray were done with K alone they would at least be consistent. But grays are done with some mixture of CMYK and they invariably drift to magenta, green, or what have you. What's around a gray tone also biases your eyet. Just do the best you can...
  14. Grey/ gradient issue

To create a gradient with no visible banding convert the gradient ro a bitmap and add <= 10% noise. The actual percentage depending on your tackle and the gradient with which you're dealing.
  15. Applying etched vinyl

It's vinyl, it applies just like any other vinyl. No magic, no beads and rattles, no staining yourself blue and dancing around a fire chanting 'Booga booga'.
  16. Reading reg marks with chrome vinyl

You'll never get them in exactly the right spot. Never. On any media that's iffy for reading registration marks I use 4 point manual marks and my plotter's built-in laser pointer. Your mileage may vary with your software and tackle.
  17. No-Maintenance Exterior Sign

Low maintenance? Exactly what maintenance is required for a typical flat sign? You put it up and in a few ayears it starts to look bad so you take it down and put up another. That is assuming that the excessively anal specimens who would have such a silly requirement would still be in business.
  18. Whats the ideal pricing for banner and stickers?

$6.00 per ft^2? Really? If someone ordered a 12"x12" banner you'd charge them $6.00? If you don't see a problem with that then perhaps you might consider letting others develop a realistic pricing model.
  19. Veloster Windshield Curve (Bottom)

The right idea but too much work. Just tape a length of paper, butcher paper, wrapping paper, whatever, across the bottom [or the top or both depending]. Trace the curve and sides with a sharpie. Tape the resulting template to a wall, put a post-it** on the template, take a picture. Now comes...
  20. Flexi Cut pressure/speed

It has nothing to do with communication. Most plotters, just like my Graphtec, have a setting that either allows or disallows various setting instructions from a computer. If set to not allow then you can send them all day and the plotter won't pay attention to them.
