The rail in a BN-20 runs dry. It has a self lubricating bushing.(could be graphite in the plastic)
I have never had problems with big rail. Only once a clicking sound with the front rail.
Summa F cutters should have maintenance every 1000 working hours or every 12 months. Whatever comes first. One important thing is to check and adjust the tension of the 3 timing belts.
According to Roland, it's a Phillips screw. They sell a long Phillips bit to go with their torque driver.
Since the carriage base is made of aluminum, it's also possible to strip the thread.
II had to drill out such a screw once on a FJ-540. It was tightened by someone else before...
While I...
The preview in Versaworks isn't that precise, when you zoom in very close.
Calibrate print-cut at the machine. Print some black hairline squares with cutcontour exactly over it. Check if there is a consistent offset over a whole sheet. If needed, you can finetune the values in the calibration...
Pozidriv isn't the same as torx. It's a enhanced Philipps.
I only use drivers from reputable companies like Swiss PB, or German Wiha or Wera. Life is too short to use mediocre tools.
Their cost may seem a bit high, but it pays off over time. Some of them even give a liftime warranty.
Your chances aren't good for bringing the heads back to life.
A head wash with cleaning solution isn't for long time storage.
There is no official procedure from Roland for this scenario.
Printheads have some sort of storage fluid in them when new.
I never succeeded to fully revive a head after...
Hi
While the way you describe the CLC workflow is correct, I think we need to be aware, that the 315 doesn't have a spectro and uses the line sensor as measuring device.
This isn't a very precise way to measure densities.
At least I would do a line sensor cleaning first and then a line sensor...
Don't worry. The final "ink empty" comes from a switch that is tripped by the plastic thing that protrudes from the cartridge when it's empty. When one of these switches is pressed, no printing or cleaning takes place.
This is normal behaviour of the system.
It also happens, when there is a pump defect and the cap isn't emptied properly.
I'd just pull the cartridges, this way the pressure should be equal.
I seriously doubt the usefulness of a 24h soak anyway. If it doesn't get better after a one hour soak...
The BN-20 does ask you to shake the cartridges from time to time.
All pigments settle eventually and the ink throughput in such small and slow printers like the BN-20 or the LEF's doesn't help.
A problem with the APS would have been my next guess, because different colors are affected... (AirPressureSystem)
Most of the times, I had troubles with it, it was too little pressure because of leakage or failing pumps...
Could be a bad batch of Luer connectors... or the plastic of the PIPs is more brittle... I also never encountered it multiple times on the same unit in such a short time.
By the way, starting with version 6.15.1 win32 is no longer supported.
Windows 7 isn't supported for a looong time. It worked, but was never guaranteed to.
Minimum was 8.1, now it's 10/11 64bit only...
Did you try starting Versaworks "open as administrator"?
Does it happen only when you add it to the queue by " drag and drop", or also using file/add to queue?
When you want to do a clean reinstallation of Versaworks, you need to use the uninstall function from windows.
Then you need to delete...
