Just a thought but can it be possible your bi directional setting got switched to normal printing, where it prints oneway only?

What What part of China were you in? I live.in Shenzhen now and most of the work here is awesome unless the customer has their employees instal it then its a different story. You gotta love the Chinglish signs, I have taken pictures of a lot of them, they just dont care.

Check to make sure your cutting strip on your plotter is not all gouged up.

You can also use Christmas garland (gold only) and drape it on the back of your printer or lay it on top of your material, works like a charm.

Sign gold or gold leaf would make those decals look really sharp.

A regular box cutter score it 3-4 times one side only, then put at edge of table and quickly snap it off, clean edges on both sides no need for any sanding. I have done many 4x8 sheets like that.

Maybe try loosening the vinyl from the roll or turn down your heaters. Make sure your putting the vinyl in straight.

Would you ship it out of the country?

I use to swap out the take-up roller and put it on the feed and vise versa and use the used backing paper as the feed paper, no need to waste money on the brown craft paper.

What's even worse then smelling it, is drinking a mouthfull of it by accident, never put it in a empty bottle of water, you might make the same mistake I made thinking it was water. I stopped eating oranges after that because I couldn't stand the smell of orange.
