Yes correct 100x bigger area. i guess I was thinking in terms of linear width 227 to 2270 instead of the area
"Large-sized canvas lets you create multiple artboards with larger dimensions. It provides an increased canvas area of 2270 x 2270 inches, which means you get 100x more working space...
gone is the 227" (or whatever) canvas size limit in AI v26, now can go 10x bigger to 2270"
Found this out by accident and can't believe this is actually true.
Just finished my first 1200" mural without scaling and other stupid workarounds the previous limit and all went well.
I'm sure others...
I've been using a 32" Samsung 2560 x 1440 since 2014. Recently looked at newer 4k models and decided to stick with the 2560 x 1440 as 4k makes text way too small. Monitors smaller than 32" look so small no idea how people can use smaller monitors
I have 2 rolands SG2 (wait time on VG2 was too long) doing 15k sq/ft per month each for over a year with 0 problems. not the fastest printers, new TR2 inks are a huge upgrade over previous roland inks I was using (versacamm)
What is your print head height at? i had grainy prints once because forgot to lower heads after printing banner. make sure head is low and the settings in the machine show low head too
I have 2 roland SG2 that have been flawless printing 15k sq/ft each per month for over a year and 1 Roland VS that has been printing for 10 years with only 1 print head replacement.
My expectations were set by the marketing/sales pitch. I'm expecting the prints to be odor free in 30 minutes or less which is how long it takes my eco solvent prints to be 100% smell free.
I'm hoping there is an issue with the machine as there is no way others are putting up with the smell I'm...
Smells like the ink, if you smell the ink in the bottle it is extremely smelly and the print smell is similar to the ink smell. Can't describe it other than chemical/not good.
Right now Canon is verbally saying "the only time there is a smell is if the ink is not cured properly".
Their operation manual says to handle improperly cured prints with gloves and to dispose of them (although the manual makes 0 mention of smell, in the manual "smudging" is how you can tell...
I get returns because some customers say transfer tape (nekoosa 775) smells like cigarettes (paper transfer tapes do have a smell that resembles old cigarettes depending on humidity I think). Even explaining that the transfer tape will be thrown away after application is not satisfactory.
Here...
Yes I got an installation prep guide and an inspection. In the guide it mentions a certain required air turnover. The smell during printing is not an issue, I can deal with that
Smelly prints are an issue and my customers will not accept a disclaimer or getting hit with a chemical smell when...
I agree I can improve airflow, add some exhaust fans, I can lessen smell during printing. Not the biggest issue. One issue I have is there was no mention of this during site inspection, not cool on Canons part.
Products smelling is tougher issue to get around and my customers will not...
OH NO! smelly for a week? I just bought a Colorado and had my first full day with it and I have to say WOW the prints are smelly. Profiles etc are all good, set up during training, everything great except the smelly prints which is unacceptable as my wallpaper/mural products are printed and...
In versaworks I use the tabs for lets say: Tab A: stuff that comes in and how to be printed NOW , Tab B: files I print repeatedly on certain days of the week, Tab C: repeating files I print every Friday Tab D, files for a certain product we make - all the files are ripped and one click away...
Not really the same thing, I can't have 5 different tabs in onyx with files 1 click away from printing that can be printed at any time without messing with settings or "recycling"
