Update I fixed the problem. I had to go into the camplot.ini file and change the port setting to match what the device manager in windows as giving my edgeport adaptor. In this case it was com port 7. All better now.

My Graphtec fc4100-75 from the 90's still getting it with no repairs other then normal wear items. Had a Roland pc-60 print and cut but the cut was so slow on that model but never let me down either. Now using Graphtec f7100 mostly for large cutting. Graphtec is our workhorse.

Sometimes we get images like that and they were set in RGB. Just change to CMYK and give it a try. If not test with profiles off and on and see the difference. Are you using the onyx that came with the 8000?

Have you tried this? Copy all fonts from windows font folder on main computer to a removable drive. Go to second computer and open the windows font folder drag all the fonts within the removable drive (individually- not the folder) into the window fonts folder after all fonts have loaded...

Are you saying that you can layout something and when you send it to the spooler it gets this error? Maybe check your port settings. Haven't used E6 in a while.

We have used Texture Plus panels on a few jobs. They make columns and corner pieces too. Don't really know if its any cheaper then the other options listed.

We remove the screws too. Sometimes on large graphics or letters we just paint the screws with one shot to blend in.

On interior installs like that, I use left over 8518 liner over a paper template, peel tape and stick letters to the liner. Then cover with high tack transfer tape and hang it on wall like vinyl. Tape the top and peel liner from behind letters and let float into place. The customers are amazed...

I have rarely had any success on flat painted walls. We always suggest satin or semi-gloss.

If the paint is still intact I would try a heat gun first. I have fixed many HDU (Signfoam brand is what I use) signs with golf ball damage like this. Slowly heat the area around the damage area in a circular motion. Don't stay in one spot to long as you could blister the paint. You will be...
