    What if you cleaned your encoder strip? I had the same problem with my JV3 a couple of years ago and was told by a tech to clean the encoder stip and eye sensor once I did that the problem went away.

    You can always use 3rd party inks if they stop selling OEM inks. I made the switch to Durafos inks 5 years ago and never had a problem with the inks.
