  2. Fellers is too Funny.

Well, a lot of it would depend on the size of your cutter and what kind of jobs you do a lot of, but my point is that 24" x 10 yard rolls of black should be a VERY common commodity. I meant 10 yards, not feet, sorry. It was a typo.
  3. Need to know these fonts?

I'd say Proxima Nova (Regular) and Times Sans Serif (Regular) for the icon.

  6. Fellers is too Funny.

Yeah, I know. And we buy most of our materials through Grimco. Howeveeeerrrr...I went to order a 24" x 10 roll of 751 black a few weeks ago and they said they didn't have it in stock and it would have to ship direct from Orafol. That's not a huge deal, as we get Oracal vinyl shipped direct from...
  7. Fellers is too Funny.

We use Oracal, so it's US Cutter, here. We've compared prices from various vendors and there is just no comparison. For example... US Cutter - Oracal 751 cast vinyl 24" x 10 yard roll, black/white $44.99, colors $51.49 Fellers - Oracal 751 cast vinyl 24" x 10 yard roll, black/white $61.00...
  8. Font Help Please

Khula (Bold) and Khula (Regular) seem to be the closest matches all around for both lines of copy.
  9. Jesse Hill - J Hill Designs- needs your thoughts and prayers

Such a shame. I had read on his Facebook page that he was in a very happy place as of lately.
  10. Need help fast!

Same here. I just replied to another thread with regards to this. The Find My Font software paid itself off in the first month, easily. Searching internet resources for 5-20 minutes to match a font got knocked down to about a minute or less with the software.
  11. Rant: Idiot employees who convert all text into outlines

I save my .cdr files as editable and save my production files as .pdf with fonts converted to curves. I still do on very rare occasions accidentally convert fonts to curves on a particular file. For me, it's not such a big dilemma as I have tens of thousands of fonts saved for easy access if I...
  12. A Funny One!

Aargh! We allow 3" x 3" 72dpi jpegs of logos to go to our customers if they want to use them for advertising purposes and we really shouldn't even do that. My response would be simple. "No thanks. We have a back up hard drive and Carbonite for that."
  13. Jesse Hill - J Hill Designs- needs your thoughts and prayers

So sorry to hear this. Jesse is an outstanding contributor here. Best wishes for a speedy recovery.
  14. Painting Pressure treated posts, just had a failure

I guess I just figure it's better to leave the bottom of the posts unpainted, rather than paint them. The way I see it, if you paint the entire post, moisture will have a hard time escaping so it's better to let it breathe. Tar would be great, but the way I see it, wooden posts are more of a...
  15. Painting Pressure treated posts, just had a failure

Regardless of how others might approach this, we round off the corners of our posts with a 1/2" roundover bit in our router then paint with one coat of Zinsser Cover Stain oil based primer, then top coat with 2 coats of Rustoleum Professional oil based enamel. I know a lot of people swear by...
  16. Advice needed: Wrapping a coffee grinder

Automotive paint and some old school pinstriping would be the best thing for this unit. Wrapping it will just make it look cheap, imo.
  17. Fax it to you? Seriously?

I'm with ya. Fax is so much easier. We have an HP printer/scanner/copier/AND fax machine. 4 in 1. Not that big of a deal and a lot of our customers prefer faxing, as well.
  18. Design Files...free to client?

If we design a logo for the customer, we charge $300 for the logo in black and white and color in 9 different raster and vector formats on a flash drive. This $300 charge covers up to the first 3 revisions. Any additional revisions are billed by the hour. If we design a logo for the customer...
  19. Damn I should recognize this font...

    Sprint Pro (Regular *Oblique)
  20. Crack and peel....

Show me could possibly be Frankfurter Medium that has been italicized? It's iffy, but it's a suggestion to try anyway.
