  1. Just getting into Shirt making. Need Advise on Pricing

Just double your cost for the shirts, plus a little extra to cover the occasional shipping charges doesn't hurt. Then figure your time involved in (on a one color, one location print job, for example) emulsifying a screen, printing the film, exposing the screen, setting up the press, printing...
  2. Signs365 Laminate failure

Maybe hand painted signs need to make a comeback in the southern states.
  3. Signs365 Laminate failure

We've used the Oracal 3651 with 210 laminate from Signs365 in the past and it's really quite durable and long lasting from my experiences. I would however, never recommend it for vehicles. I'm so glad we print in house now and very seldom have to rely on signs 365 anymore. We've since replaced...

Are ATV trailers covered in plastic? Just curious as to why the need to use high bond film.
  5. Letter track attachment?

Ah, yes. I see now that #3, #4, and #16 will all work. We've always just used #4 in our shop so I was unaware of these other options. https://www.curbellplastics.com/Research-Solutions/Technical-Resources/Technical-Resources/Bonding-Acrylic-with-SCIGRIP-3-4-or-16

I've never had this problem if applied properly by removing excess air from the applicator bottle before inverting it.

  11. Installing acrylic letters to drywall

It's been the other way around for us. We did some testing in our own shop with a fairly hefty ACM sign mounted to the wall. We used Full Spectrum white foam tape first with a nearly immediate failure. Second, we tried Avery Dennison's version of VHB tape, which let go of the wall in places...

  14. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

You would understand why I asked, had you actually read through this thread.
  15. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

Okay, the reason I asked is because our Orafol sales rep had mentioned that he was aware of a problem with this UV burning and it would seem that wet installation of the laminated media was the culprit. That makes no sense to me, but it's information I figured I could relay to you, for what it's...
  16. Oraguard 210 = UV burn

Off the wall question, but are these dry installs or wet installs?
  17. Another font question...

Cheltenham might get you close. It might be best to post a tracing of the letter than the actual letter.

  19. What are you guys paying for Max Metal?

$60.95 for 2 sided, $52.95 for 1 sided, but we typically stock up when it's on sale and get them for around $40-45. I know if we buy more than ten sheets at any given time, they will give us a bulk order discount as well.
  20. Vinyl for tile floors

Have you ever looked into this stuff? I've never personally used it myself yet, but I've seen it demonstrated at trade shows and it really is amazing. It would be perfect for going over tile with grout.
