We use an Epson Artisan 1430 with all black cartridges and AccuRip sofftware. It's a little over the top, but it's fool proof. We use 13" x 19" transparencies from Ryonet.

Mimaki was also running the same buy a flatbed and get a free roll to roll offer about a week or two back. I'm not sure if it's still available or if that sale has ended yet.
