It's a bit out of your price range, but it's a good cutter.
You guys have been referring to them all wrong. According to my Mimaki user's manual, they're not called stickers or decals, but rather 'seals'. :noway:
The cuts started fairly close to where they should have been, but they were still off maybe a 1/16" to 1/8" in the feed direction. Then as the machine continued to cut, the cuts were getting farther and farther off, which happened not too far into the cutting process. It almost seemed like on...
That's true, I may not have had it lined up perfectly the first time around. I used a makeshift 60" straight edge cut from a piece of 1/8" pvc to visually line the material up the last 3 times, but my fourth set of cuts were still off just like the first. And that's the thing, I ended up having...
Well, here's an update. I had 20 decals to cut, each group of five decals with it's own registration marks for a total of four groups to cut on a big sheet of 54" x 12 foot media. The first set of cuts I ran started close to where they should have been then skewed way off shortly after, ending...
I would really appreciate any and all input that I can get with regards to a problem we are having with our Mimaki CJV150-130. I'm just wanting to get some feedback from other users and opinions before I speak with my technician. We purchased our printer/cutter a few months back and it's been a...
We use an Epson Artisan 1430 with all black cartridges and AccuRip sofftware. It's a little over the top, but it's fool proof. We use 13" x 19" transparencies from Ryonet.
Mimaki was also running the same buy a flatbed and get a free roll to roll offer about a week or two back. I'm not sure if it's still available or if that sale has ended yet.
I have to wonder if these troubles with the GX-24 are isolated incidents, as we've had ours for 5 years (it runs daily) and I've only just recently had to change the cutting strip. Essentially, I find it to be a great cutter. I can darn near cut through an entire 30 feet of material without the...
Believe it or not, you can use a Big Squeegee laminator tool to get you started before investing into a roll to roll laminator machine. It will cost under $100 and there is a slight learning curve, but all you would need is a smooth, flat table, a little practice and you're all set. You can...
I've removed cut vinyl off of wrap vinyl with a little bit of heat before and had no issues with a little practice. I did learn the hard way that you must go about it very carefully though when starting to lift the edge of the cut vinyl. I used a plastic scraper and took my time and lifted ever...
We use something similar manufactured by Admiral and distributed through Grimco called the Clips In banner frame. The nice thing with this system is the banner would be suspended 3/4" away from the wall that it's mounted to, so you can use 3/4" foam insulation as a backer to prevent the panel...
