This is just my opinion but I don’t think people will be reluctant to share media profiles and settings. As that’s one thing that differentiates printers from one and other.

Have a look at Onyx Go, it's about $50(us) a month. Otherwise, have a look at onyx's Entry level software. Starts from Rip Center, then Postershop. If you're new to the printing world, you'll realise print software gets expensive fast. Onyx is pretty much one of the best RIP softwares...
