    I have seen one installed and removed, it is a very simple swap. The unit is a simple tray that drops into the planen on the machine, you get a squeege to scrape the waste ink to the end where is ties into the waste ink the best I can remember. How often is it used..only you can answer that?

    The heads have not been the issue in the past, it's the ink settling in the lines. Roland now has pumps that recirculate the ink in the system. This saves ink, as it does not have to be purged from the system to stir the ink. No need to put down white before the metallic, metallic is plenty...

    Don't take this the wrong way, but. If you can't find it, you don't need to work on it. Save yourself some $ and call a tech.

    When you change a head make sure you always change the dampers, it's cheap insurance. Damper levels can vary while a machine is not running, they tend to level out after printing. Ryan

    Head fuse? I have also personally seen a half channel missing on a test draw. Turned the machine off, powered back up and it was back! Would never believe it if I was not on location with the customer.
