  1. Triangle inks??

We had the Triangle system installed from day one on our JV3 as well. It was something that we just knew from the start we were going to do, haven't regretted it yet.
  2. What's the best plotter on the market?

Another loyal Summa user here. I can't say a whole lot about their lower line, but I most likely would not even look at other plotters when we need to replace our current T series unit.
  3. Purchase supplies local or have them shipped?

We don't really have local options here. Our closest usual suppliers are 90 minutes away. Because of that we stock a fair bit of product. But I would say that we pretty much get everything from 4 to 5 different vendors, that is everything from digital media to aluminum extrusions for backlit...
  4. Creativity Is My Savior

I have done that before, either for ease like you are, or because I forgot to roll the print off a couple of extra inches to be able to contour cut it. Then I just rotated the print in Flexi 180deg. and sent it to the rip station, just let the print job sit on hold and sent the contour cut job...
  5. Attention all Suppliers or anyone who wants to sell a plotter!!!

Another nod towards Summa. Our unit has cut everything we have thrown at it. The big difference IMHO is the tangential head is the only way to go.
  6. Text issues in Flexi...

Thats been a complaint for a long time. Illustrator, Corel, and other display great text, but it had always been lacking in Flexi. I thought they were going to work on that in the v8 release. Anyone want to comment on that who has the latest release.
  7. need to upgrade our computer any opinions

Bull- Which CoolIt cooler is that? Looking at one of those for our new RIP station.
  8. anyone using a pen tablet?

Right now, collecting dust. I don't have room at the immediate time on my desk, need to adjust everything to get it back out, I enjoyed using mine.
  9. Anybody own a colorspan 5400?

Waiting on a quote to come in on one of these printers, but till then, can someone tell me what the ink costs? Thanks.
  10. Teckwin printers

NAZDAR is the one who is carrying it. It doesn't hurt to at least look at it. What bothers me most, is that in '05 Gerber and 3M both were selling rebranded Teckwin printers and then quit, why?
  11. Teckwin printers

Our dealer that we have bought ALL of our digital printers through for the past ten years won't be able to sell us on our next printer, because they don't handle flatbeds. But they have an agreement with another company that does and they carry the Teckwin printers. Didn't know if anyone had...
  12. Anybody own a colorspan 5400?

Interested as well. Has anyone gotten any of the FLAAR reviews from Nicholas Hellmuth?? I know that they have a 5400UV series printer in their offices now.
  13. Need New Printer/Copier

If you want an actual office level printer, I recommend Xerox. Either their tiner or crayon based printers are great.
  14. Routing 3mm Coroplast. What bit???

Two words - Hartlauer Bits Dave there is awesome, we have been having the same problem forever and he recommended a different bit that the Onsrud rep suggested at a recent show. What we got was an Onsrud 62-718, a single flute downward spiral. And I will say that it made a big difference in...
  15. Font ID

I was using the "a" in my matching software, so that probably why it didn't flag that one. Its close, but not close enough. May have to go ahead and due this logo manually.
  16. Font ID

    Any ideas.
  17. What AntiVirus Software Do You Use ? ? ?

I had the whole Norton Suite installed years ago, and one day for no reason I could no longer get on the internet from my design computer. Found out that it was not an uncommon problem and I spent several hours trying to uninstall everything from the suite. Since then its been AVG, Lavasoft, and...
  18. DIY Rip Station...any suggestions??

Wasting money on 64 bit processor?? Are not all the new processor from AMD and Intel 64 bit compatible. Its just what you have to buy anymore.
  19. Plotter life

We have our Summa T-1010 going strong for 10 years now. I consider the Mimaki CG-130FX we got with our JV3 as its backup, you just can't compare a tangential cutter with a drag knife.
  20. Font ID

That'll work, perfect. I had that font, uninstalled, by my font id program missed it.
