Yes I am running Windows 7 on my mail computer.
I will follow your instructions and run my SP-300 the way you said.
I am hoping it works.
Right now it's a small pain to send my files to my old Windows XP- computer first but it does work that way.
Thanks for your help. Jim
I have a Roland SP-300 and I use Window XP and I was wondering if this printer can also work using IE-7
I am using ColorRip software and over the past six years I have never had any problems using this software but I don't think there are any driver updates for IE-7
The SP-300 has worked so...
Allsigns
The decal that I was send has a shiny surface which I thought looked like they had laminated it.
When I peeled up one corner I saw the silver grey backing color.
I have used Oracal 3640-G for years so this New material looks very different.
I even wondered it the decal was made for...
Anyone know what type of Oracal product has a silver backing.
I received a decal and when I started to peel it off the backing it is a silver color instead of white.
Just wondering what number Oracal product this might be.
Thanks Jim
ColorRip software
Sorry I forgot mention that I am using ColorRip which I have been using for years with no problems.
Roland must supply an average cost per square foot which I could then use to figure out an average cost per item based on it's size.

I am paying $65.00 dollars for a 220 Eco Sol Max inks. The reason I am not using the 440 cartage is because of a problem with space where the printer is located.
I am trying to figure out the costs for each 4" x 4" decal I make and would like to hear from others on the costs per item.
I know...
I have both AI and Corel X5
I personally like Corel better then AI for the type of work I do everyday.
My son likes AI better.
I have now been using Corel for about 15 years.

Thanks Pete
One question is where can I find the instructions for changing the settings?
Once I change the settings I will try and find a copy of VersaWorks software to use.
Thanks Jim

Pete did you convert your SP-300 to a V yourself or have a tech do it?
I would also like to convert my SP-300 and would like to find someone to do it for me.
I don't want to screw my printer because it works perfectly every time.
Thanks Jim
SP-300 questions
I have to replace one head on my SP-300 and I would also like to convert it to a V since I am still using XP for the operating system.
For me ColorRip has worked great but I really want to stop using XP and start using OS-7
Once I convert my printer into a V do I need to...
Error message 0110
I am also getting an error code 0110 message and I have to manualy raise the capping station so had not to try out the heads.
I think it is something to do with the encoder strip and I have cleaned a few times with a lint free cloth and Isopropyl Alcohol.
Anyone know...
Got one problem solved!!
Well the reason I was getting the post script interpreter error message was the computer I was using was running slow because of to many programs so because this computer is only used because it still has Windows XP on it I simply deleted many of the programs that were...
I have an SP-300 Roland Printer that I have owned for years.
Today I started getting an error message that say's the Post Script Interpreter has stopped working.
I have tried a number of times turning the power off to the printer and checking the cables to make sure they are pulled in...
Cap Tops
Yes the cap tops were sealing under the heads.
The pump that is on my SP-300 is the newer style and is about 4 years old.
I only use this printer every few day's for 30 to 60 minutes a day.
I have been printing a few things and the problem appears solved.
Thanks Jim
