  1. 500+ pictures

I have several old Syquest drives and cartridges with a whopping 88MB of space. Figured if I held on to them long enough - they would be useful in a museum one day. Which museum... I have no idea....
  2. Tint Boxes

How would you do this with an action or by hand in 60 seconds since you have to manually type in color percentages in the color box to make the changes?
  3. Tint Boxes

    Thank you Gino
  4. Tint Boxes

I think I need to explain this better. I have a set color I have to match. none of the Pantione swatches i print are acceptable - some are close - but I need it to match. So lets say PMS 542 is the closest match - what I want to be able to do automatically is to change the color to CMYK...
  5. Tint Boxes

Is there a tool, action or plugin that will allow you to take a built color and have it make separate boxes of user defined builds to make a tint scale? For example - i have a build that is 50C, 40M, 30Y, 20K (this is just an example of numbers) - it doesn't match exactly what the customer has...

Mike - sent you an email earlier this week about Duratrans job... CET is not in same product category as Vutek. CET is entry/mid-industrial - whereas QS and GS Vuteks are industrial/production. That being said - the new CET 4x8 will do that speed. For Vutek - get a used QS2000.
  10. I would really love YOUR help!

We go to Litchfield. Very few tourists.
  11. The Gandi is back Pred8tor

My lowly CET printer has an auto head height adjustment and it works great. Also - I run a ton of Ultraboard and have never had problems with the heads clogging.
  12. The Gandi is back Pred8tor

I got a sneak peek at this thing last year and they had it running at ISA earlier this year. Ran a 4x8 sheet of coro full coverage in just under 45 seconds. But you can't just multiply that and come up with 1900 sfh. There is time to load and unload and clean the sheets, too and that will take...
  13. Hanging Banner 'Stand'

What you want is out there and I have seen it... just can't remember where. It acts like one of those window shade things. You pull it down with a pole or string or whatever and it stays open. With the retractor you will still have to use the pole to keep it from retracting. I will look for it...
  14. Sign Business trends

Ummm... don't speak for the whole state. I have industry colleagues in Greensboro, Raleigh, Winston-Salem, Thomasville and here in Charlotte and every one of us is very busy. One of my golf buddies runs another wide format shop here and they are doing a $1.3 million job for Lowe's this month.

  17. Best Flatbed?

Yes... well, at least mine can with 6 different zones. can a flat bed (4x8 bed) be given two 4x4 "zones" with two different x/zero positions? so if the operator is careful, he can be printing on one end and setting up on the other end. of course this would only work with a flatbed that works...
  18. Profile Problem

Did you try using Legacy settings instead of the newer options?
  19. Postcard Layout

I haven't read all the posts on this - but in my experience of designing postcards - the purpose is for a call to action. if you put all the info on the card - there is no call to action and you confuse the reader who will just read it and ditch it (if they read it at all). Remember - you are...
  20. Best Flatbed?

Mike, Normally I would agree with you, but in this industry - there have been some pretty crappy cars... no matter who was driving them. Gandi has (had) a lousy reputation here in North Carolina due to several high profile failures at big providers. That being said - alot of the newer...
