You know you're comparing apples to oranges. Latex heads are designed to need replacing after X liters of ink (depending on being the 3000 series or the smaller machines). That is part of the ink system. It's a cost of doing business. There is nothing wrong with it. It doesn't take much...
As far as I can tell anyone who asked got ball park pricing and the assurance that their preferred reseller has the pricing available now. It doesn't hurt to ask your reseller.
To what? Those FB machines are pretty much the same Colorspans that HP purchased, minus the videonet, and some with some updates. That technology is really old. Chances of massively different machines is nil.
20/20 didn't work for us years ago on our Rolands years ago. Exact same problems you describe. We had great luck with Solaris and Triangle inks.
One thing I noticed was that these 3rd part inks tended to flash quicker than OEM. So if we had the printing platen heat at 50 degrees Celsius with...
This is interesting. It's all we print on for banner. Perhaps you need a new vendor. We go through pallets of this stuff-- 126" 13oz in matte. Maybe that's the difference?
Two thoughts for this thread:
Any of the HP FB500/700/550/750 are old technology. I wouldn't invest a dime in it. Ours sits around. It's too slow and the quality is not what newer machines can produce. The CET is a good machine (I have one of theirs) but the guy who was the driving force...
I can do this for you. Give us a call at 801-305-1655 Or email sales@abacatalog.com and we can get you set up with online ordering.
Thanks for looking.
What you're describing is exactly why we dumped Onyx in version 7 and made the switch to Caldera. I've never looked back. (and it's funny to see that some things never change).
You do realize you're asking way too much for these, right? An Epson Certified Refurbished machine is going on Ebay right now for $4250.00. There are also others from $1,500-4,000 available. This is an old machine that's no longer of much use to anyone. Heck I sold the three I had four or...
You're welcome. We've hung on to our 850 for a long time. It still chugs along as good as the day we got it. Our 3000 and 3500 do most of the work, but it can turn out banner with the best of them.
