  1. Rant Ugh New 570, New Problems!

A few years ago we had a contract with a cell phone screen protector company. It was the same logic. These were rolls of 24" wide material. HP wanted us to get a LX800. Can you imagine two 24" rolls on a 126" machine? And losing 10' per load? And taking 15-20 minutes to load each one...
  2. Rant Ugh New 570, New Problems!

I'm not sure what HP was doing with the 1500. It seems out of place. If you're going large you might as well get the 3200.....
  3. Rant Ugh New 570, New Problems!

    And your point is?
  4. Third Party Ecosol Max inks, Cuantek Review?

No. Just usage. We had several of the XC-540/XJ740 for at least 3 years? 4 years? a long time ago. Don't really remember. Anyway, the first thing we did with all of them was to run 3rd party so we could use the bulk. The Triangle worked well but the local dealer stopped selling them so we...
  5. Third Party Ecosol Max inks, Cuantek Review?

I'd be willing to bet that some of them are even better than the OEM. We had great luck with Solaris and Triangle. Both worked really well. I'm no chemist, but it seemed to me that both inks were "hotter" solvent wise and bit in to the media better. I guess the moral of anything third party...
  6. Third Party Ecosol Max inks, Cuantek Review?

Right here you shot yourself in the foot.
  7. Third Party Ecosol Max inks, Cuantek Review?

This is not accurate. When I had several Rolands years ago we ran Triangle and Solaris w/o any issues, and have documented several times on this site as to how good they were for us.
  8. Need Help HP LATEX SPECIALS!

They've been saying this forever. When we went to the launch for the Latex 3000 in Barcelona they were really close. That was a few years ago. But someone over there sure believes in it
  9. Need Help HP LATEX SPECIALS!

Anything to do with flatbed seems to be held up as they're trying to get the latex flatbed sorted. The 750 was such a weak attempt to take a really old technology and try to make it at least a little better (those machines were originally colorspans which HP purchased). I wouldn't wait for HP...
  10. LEISTER HEMTEK ST - Anyone have one? Review?

    Where'd you get it from?
  11. Miller Weldmaster T2 Extreme, any reviews?

We have one Brother, two Mitzi's, and one Juki. They are all industrial, double stitch machines. The Brother is our oldest and the Juki is the newest. All of them work great, and were in the $2,000-$2,500 price range. If you're interested in more information I will grab the model numbers for...
  12. Miller Weldmaster T2 Extreme, any reviews?

We have four full time sewers. Our goal was to allow the sewers to concentrate on other things (tents, table skirts, flags, etc-- things that require strong sewing skills) and allow our production guys to hem banners. Great idea, but we couldn't live with two sides being different from the...
  13. Miller Weldmaster T2 Extreme, any reviews?

Hot air doesn't seem to work. We had the T300 and found that on two sides of each banner it would ripple. The other two hems would be flat. We ended up sending it back after they told us this was normal.
  14. Suggestions Looking for a feather flag wholesaler

We'd be glad to help. Give us a call at 801-305-1655 or email sales@abacatalog.com. Thanks for looking.
  15. New Océ Colorado 1640

As I said in another thread we've got the paperwork with a tentative July delivery date. In the meantime we've purchased an additional 570 and are looking to get another in the next week for this very reason. We've yet to see the samples we're looking for to make sure our bases are covered.
  16. researching Flatbed printers,

I spent a great deal of time with SwissQprint bag when Weifag was handling the distribution duties here in the US. The SwissQprint, in my opinion, is a great line of machines that are priced considerably more than they should be. When you're up in that territory there are many other machines...
  17. Question HP 500 series ?s

Did you make it? We did. Got all the paperwork yesterday.
  18. Solvent vs Latex.

You do realize this "informational chart" (and I use informational loosely) is from Roland. They're going to be as fair and honest about latex as a die hard Ford fan is of a Chevy, a Baptist of a Mormon, a Bernie Sanders supporter of a Trump supporter, etc.... Nothing to see here except a...
  19. Question Having Trouble BIG TROUBLE Cutting Window Perf Solvex 50/50

Either get a flat bed cutter such as a zund or find someone who does (probably the easier, cheaper option)
  20. New Océ Colorado 1640

It is very thin. Not like a normal UV unless you do the heavy saturation mode.
