  1. Jumping on the HP Latex bandwagon

One recommendation if you are going to do any cutting of your printed graphics: - GET A SUMMA!! Sorry Graphtec, but the FC8000 I had SUCKED!! I just got the 54" SUMMACut, only $4500, and it has worked perfectly!!
  2. Jumping on the HP Latex bandwagon

There is no comparison with this to a versacamm. My latex replaced a versacamm and everything about it is better. I bought mine sight unseen based off of recommendations and I have never regretted it. There is a little more tuning and tweaking you will want to do, but that also allows you to...
  3. good questions I would like to hear answered.

Now that it is getting cold here, I like the heat that it puts off. My furnace doesn't ever run during the day and it stays 75 - 78 degrees. My shop is only about 850 square feet, so that helps. I have read this report before too. I don't think it really compares apples to apples. They post all...
  4. good questions I would like to hear answered.

You would think the Epson would be a lot better. That is how I have always understood it. I use Caldera to run my HP and all of the profiles that I have, except a few, only use the 600 dpi setting too. So if I could get some profiles for the 1200 dpi setting, I would think my prints would look...
  5. good questions I would like to hear answered.

I would take the quality of my new L25500 over the VP-540 I had any day. I think mine prints pretty much just as good as the samples I have received off of a Epson GS6000. For the ink consumption, that varies largely on how much you print. I have gone through a set of inks in the last month...
  6. HP Latex Printer arrived today...

Another bonus is when printing vinyl. When I had my VP-540, if I made coroplast signs with printed graphics, I couldn't stack them together because they would stick. Even after drying for a few days. Now, I pile them up right after they are done with ZERO problems! I do recommend turning the...
  7. sgia l25500 special

I sure love mine!! The way business has been, and at these prices, I am tempted to get another one!
  8. HP 25500 for Heat press

The last time I called Fellers, they said they don't carry that anymore???
  9. What will it print on???

If those with the LX800 could upgrade to the new ink, I don't see why not? I guess we'll see when it's released.
  10. is wasatch ok to manage HPL25500¿?

I use Caldera on my L25500 and LOVE it!! I actually went with Caldera because all I have are Mac's (and the positive comments on here). But I got my all loaded and ready to go on a new Mac Mini for $2600 from Advantage Sign Supply!
  11. HP Latex Printer arrived today...

Caldera is AWESOME for color and everything. I too have also noticed that it seems that currently there is more profiles and users of Onyx. I have heard from everyone that they get better color from Caldera, so that is why I went with it. Plus the upgrades are way cheaper and you are not limited...
  12. Bowing/ Smiling In Print l25500

This totally makes sense as the bowing issue is less of a problem when I turn the heat down.
  13. Printing and Cutting with the L25500

It's not a matter of it finding the marks, it's a matter of it cutting them out where the cuts are supposed to be. Now the cutting head on mine is loose, so all of my cuts look like they were cut out by hand. Hopefully this thing will be on its way back soon and a new Summa will be on its way.
  14. L25500 and Cutting on a FC8000

Haha, that is exactly what I do. Use a scotchbrite pad to dull down the finish. Just wish I could get the cuts to be on.
  15. L25500 and Cutting on a FC8000

It's not the bowing that is messing it. I know how to correct for that. My problem is that the first cut is good, but the cuts shift to the left as they go along. Or are totally off from the start. I do notice that my material seems to buckle and bow in the cutter pretty easily. I don't get why...
  16. L25500 and Cutting on a FC8000

Where is that setting at? I do not see it anywhere? I am assuming it is in CM2?
  17. L25500 and Cutting on a FC8000

I cannot get a consistent accurate cut to save my life. They are always off one way or another. Lately it starts out right, then shifts to the left as it goes. Has anyone else had any problems like this? I am cutting out of Cutting Master 2.
  18. Bowing/ Smiling In Print l25500

I have been using Caldera VisualRIP+ and been having very similar problems.
  19. L25500 Bowing Prints

Yep. I do have the 4.0.0.4 firmware. The straightness optimization adjustment wasn't available before that.
  20. L25500 Bowing Prints

Has anyone got this figured out? It seems like I will adjust it, then print something out and it is way off again. Or I will adjust it then a little while later it is off the other way. It is just really starting to piss me off.
