  3. CMYK VS RGB Roland SG2-300

The best way to specify a color is L*a*b*, or Lab. It is an absolute specification of the color, because it does not depend on a color space profile to give it meaning. A good intro that explains this well is Ed Hagen's Project BBCG- A Better Brand Color Guide, downloadable from...
  4. Question Wasatch RIP, simulation profiles, and proofing

I learned my answer from Wasatch today. They told me that what I referred to as a simulation profile they refer to as a color transform. I was also informed that a device link profile can be placed into a color transform.

I was wondering if Wasatch RIP can support a simulation profile in a media configuration to do proofing of another printer's output?
  6. Why the color variations?

The only meaningful specifications of a color are either a L*a*b* number or a spectral reflectance distribution. You get these by actually measuring the color, or by having access to Pantone's L*a*b* specifications for their various swatches. If someone provides you with an image file as their...

  13. Suggestions Desktop Printer for Proofing

Also- were you using any facilities within the...

  19. Skateboard Heat Transfer Material

That's interesting. I hoped to be able to use Ultra-Grip, largely because as you have said- there is an expected performance by skateboarders in particular, but for very detailed high resolution imagery I found it unsatisfactory.
  20. Skateboard Heat Transfer Material

Is most of the printwork you do based on what I would refer to as classical line-ish/cartoon-ish skate art? The reason I ask is because the anti-slip particle density on Ultra-Grip is so high that it is ok for line-ish/cartoonish art, but not so for images of greater detail like natural...
