  1. I think I have found a new market...

We engrave brass plates for a few local funeral homes with the persons name and dates, these go on the urns. We raised the price a few years ago from $15 to $19, one of the funeral homes started complaining about the "huge" price increase blah, blah, blah. A few months later, a lady came in to...
  2. Trade Printing E-mail Orders

LOL, one of the many reasons why i think sign shops are the worst clients! what about the ones who call to tell you about the order, but don't put the info in the email with the artwork like you are supposed to remember the conversation exactly from 3 weeks ago. we have 2 or 3 shops we do...

  6. Alien Skin Eye Candy in Corel

I think you are mistaken, I use eye candy in Photoshop, and it only works on vector objects, it applies a bitmap fill to vector objects such as text, I'm pretty sure it doesn't work on bit maps.

A leather couch? I guess we have different clientele, but if I had a leather couch I would have an endless supply of old guys coming in to shoot the ****, I would never get any work done! Please don't tell me you have a coffee machine in the waiting room as well!:ROFLMAO:

  11. AutoMark vinyl .... anyone ever use it?

Yup, we had to remove the side of a fibreglass box truck we did about 1.5 years after it was installed, it came off pretty well, left a bit of glue behind, but not much, I would give it a 8/10 for removability.
  12. AutoMark vinyl .... anyone ever use it?

We use quite a bit of it, never for wrapping, but it works very well for things like tractor trailer graphics, box trucks etc.
  13. To cling or not to cling...that is the question...

inside the glass is a bad idea, most storefront windows are tinted, which would obscure the print. I would use a low tack removable vinyl and mount to the outside, that way he doesn't need to go in to the place to remove the decal, I can't see that going down well.
  14. And that's why people don't like the cloud.....

Most likely, I remember a pc game when I was younger called ultima online, the game was very cheap to buy, but it had to be played online and they charged like $10 a month, so people figured out how to emulate the servers and create their own which allowed people to play with their friends for...

  17. Looking for real world experienced opinions of quality laminator

How are you able to laminate prints longer than the table? it's not uncommon for us to laminate 1/2 - full rolls of vinyl in one go, I don't see how the rolls roller can do that. It looks amazing for applying, and for laminating prints under 10 feet long.
