I can honestly say I've received a file from a designer that was good to go as is. I have to weld, make real outlines, get rid of tons of junk they hid and pretty much just use what they send as a template for what I need to make. I gave up long ago expecting anything but pile of junk and just...
did a search to find a where to buy Lexel and am not getting anything but some hardware stores in Mass. is there any larger place like Lowes or a sign supplier that sells this?
if you are using vinyl other than Gerber's he holes that are punched in the non Gerber vinyl may not be lining up just right with the sprockets. if the first cut looks OK and then goes off with each new cut, it could be that or a cruddy set of sprockets.
I am a lover of written quotes that spell out everything. we do that for all our customers and since we do there are no surprises for them or us. what about vendor quotes? how many still get a phone quote from a vendor or a dashed out e-mail. anyone have issues when it comes time to order...
sound like the problem is you as the employer. if this is such a huge problem for you, have you in your employee expectations included just what the hell you epxect from them? if you want a file for every job saved that can be edited then say so. when I convert mine it is because I am worth...

this same thing happens with van and truck letters. do you follow the lines or level? I use the lines of the truck and the closest bottom lines for a van as it makes it look like it fits the vehicle even if the letters are level to ground
can someone explain why I got a dislike for saying we are upfront with customers and let them know what to expect and spell out what we charge for and another member got a dislike for saying he only send low res proofs so they are hard to steal. what would the "disliker" do? hide cost? send...
our quotes are pretty detailed so mine would have the one time set up charge if I set it or they provided a file so any repeat orders wouldn't have that charge. we do get people who will call asking for the file to be e-mailed to someone for shirts or whatever. they may not remember that way...
as much as it pains me to say this, dd is right about not giving a file away. I totally agree that knowing this should be up front but then why would anyone expect us to work for free and just hand over something we put time and effort into. if the design is original, it should always be a...
what a cute little thing. just make sure your kids pick him up by supporting the feet as a rabbit can snap its back if the feet are left hanging freely.
it depends. mostly we have a site survey charge. we have peple who want us to "look" at their door and they are hours away. we tell them we do charge for a site survey but if they send us a photo, we can work from that. once it gets past a quote we do go out and take a look if we aren't...
