  1. No Parking sign

...and try to avoid using red and black touching, there is absolutely no contrast in most cases.
  2. In a pinch!

They are Sign DNA fonts, not LHF. And whoever squeezed Raceway like that ought to have their scrotum in a vice. Love....Jill
  3. Some recent work

The only things I can nitpick are the brackets around the area code and the big space between the 24/7 and Emergency Repair on the van. But other than that, I think you did a really nice job. Not too junked up not too "wrap-crap" looking. Almost Antonelli quality there. Love....Jill
  4. Pittsburgh World of Wheels

It's that time of year again folks! http://www.autorama.com/ This year, I will be on the lower level with our largest group of artists to date. If you're at the show, please stop and say Howdy. Planning on doing all 3 days. Love.....Jill
  5. Something has changed

Marlene, not to defend the check out girl but she may have gotten reamed out by her boss for not following procedure. Lord knows I get it on a daily basis since I had to get a "real" job last year. I wish it was not unethical to post a photo of my newest competition's biz sign.
  6. Something has changed

I know it's made me bitter and resentful.
  7. New position and re-location

Good luck Broooce. Any sign shop would be lucky to have you as an employee. You're one talented guy. Love....Jill
  8. Something has changed

I'm glad you read my comments in the way they are intended to be...to teach. I'm not the world's greatest designer by any means but I know when something needs some TLC. And if I didn't care, I wouldn't say anything. Sometimes I don't say anything anymore! :) Love...Jill
  9. Lag on 101

Slow like molasses in January. Wait...it is January! PMs are slow too. Love....Jill
  10. inhaling vinyl adhesive....

Just be glad you CAN smell it now. I'm sure it's not as bad for you as cigarettes. For the record, I have never smoked, and can still smell vinyl (I like the kind that smalls like new baby dolls) but I haven't been able to smell paint for about 10 years even when others whine about the stench...
  11. Where to sell design program

...at least he's not within a 10 mile radius of me. :) I'm with RJ, more info might be nice. Love....Jill
  12. interesting fonts

Top one is a Dafont freebie. Bottom probably is also, check their handwriting fonts. Love....Jill
  13. Ohhhhh, what a night......................

    Every gal needs a BOB.
  14. It's all about apples and oranges

Good for you. In my case, it means I'll be the highest quote and the job will go to one of the local hacks. It will look like sh!t, but the price will be right. Love....Jill
  15. Making Friends......................

I'm just glad that Norm Abrams is one of my 144 friends. :) Love....Jill
  16. Customer who wanted the cheap option!!!

Me too, Joe. Once again, your wise words hit the mark. It's sad that you have to re-do the stupid cheap sign, but it's good to hear that you will no longer be offering stupid cheap signs. You get what you settle for. Love....Jill
  17. Want to sandblast signs

I would definitely sub it out or do as Sinetist suggests. Especially what he says, that way you will know whether or not you enjoy it. I personally do not, it makes a mess and it's pricey, then people try to nickle-and-dime you. Love....Jill
  18. Quick design

    I'd downsize that LLC a lot. Love...Jill
  19. Wassup Folks?

By giving a free proof you further devalued the trade. Hey it's the same for signs. I quoted $750 the customer went to the guy who charged $250. (a sign not a wrap) Same materials only his looks like @ss and mine would have looked great. Love....Jill
  20. Happy Happy

Holy crap! I'd be happy too. Congratulations! Love....Jill
