You don't need a line drawing. We never use em. Just good straight on photos of the sides and rear with measurements. If you don't get measurements or photos use a stock photo. You can always ask for the customer to take measurements
Yep, have to do this from time to time here too. We use a Mimaki plotter/cutter but it doesn't give an error the same way. Just doesn't find the reg marks.
I did a similar one just today. 4 ai files with embedded font. I would like to explain to Adobe users that embedding does absolutely no good.Always convert fonts when sending to a third party. Another classic Graphics 101 teaching.
Anyway, my work around goes like this

I've also found that if the material starts to "walk" or skew I just adjust accordingly and start again no matter how well the reg marks are aligned. We try to keep our runs to no longer than 12ft.
