Templates are useless to me. We design from actual or sometimes stock photos and rough measurements. If the vehicle to be wrapped isn't available for a proper survey we'll do a rough mock up and let the customer know that we won't print any until the vehicle is in our possession.

Cut two magnets at 1" x 12". Make one white and the other black. When you go out to the site either slap the magnet on to the surface and take the photo or tape the magnet on. Use the magnet to scale in your design program of choice.

In illy what color formula are the crop marks? Paper is a lot more porous than vinyl so maybe it is a profile problem.

Did you make the crop marks within Rasterlink? All our crop marks are made within our design program from various workstations throughout the office then sent to the RIP. All our print tech has to do is choose the appropriate profile.
