  1. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

What you describe and what the tech told you are exactly the same thing that I have seen. I have been told pretty much the same thing by some of the techs I talked to. One thing I will add that I have been told by one of the techs. If you are under 12 pass and see color fluctions during the...
  2. Hp latex 360 printer

Interesting what HP has just done to their forums. Removed anything negative about the L3xx series. In fact you can't hardly find anything about the L3xx series now. Strange
  3. Latex Fog

That must be a small room. Do you have to go out of the room to change your mind?
  4. Hp latex 360 printer

There are many post on here about the weaknesses and strength of these printers. If you're color management savvy and understand what HP has done you can probably get along just fine with an L360. I would say what I see is it biggest weak is only having 1 lc/lm print head, which is causing a...
  5. L26500 / flexi panel sizing issues

    Did you turn OMAS off?
  6. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

Now I see why your always drumming for business. You picked a very narrow segment of the market. But on the other hand if you were profiling printers more susceptible to hardware, environment, media changes your approach wouldn't work so well. Thus the need for operators of those printers to...
  7. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

Yea right. You won't even answer my question about what tools and training you give so the when changes occur the end user knows how to deal with them. Consistant correct color is not a simple as you make it out to be. I will point out the best way is to learn color management and not have to...
  8. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

That is one good question that HP needs to address. I can't believe they allow the old (before .12 firmware to be posted) profiles to still be posted when they know fully well that none will give accurate color with the latest firmware. Furthermore with the color fluctuations I have seen with...
  9. color management way off today

Before you make a bunch of wild guesses do a re-linearization. That should tell you what is off. Been a long time since I ran Flexi but surly it has a re-linearization routine.
  10. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

Sounds like you figured it out like I said Generic media settings are existing calibration and profiles and will not give you correct color and you can not get them back even with a calibration. Too bad the Generic media settings can not also be deleted since they are no good. Well at least...
  11. What Lubrication should be used on Hp Latex machines

Here is one source and HP part number. http://www.sparepartswarehouse.com/HP,Printer,Part,60400855.aspx
  12. L25500 Color Calibrations?

Your wrong, the L25500 does have a i1 photo spectrometer. You can't control it from the printer but you can control it from some RIPs. I know Colorgate can control it and I suspect Caldera can as well, but I don't think Onyx can. Now on the other hand as old as a L25500 is likely to be, would I...
  13. L25500 Color Calibrations?

What RIP are you running? If it does not support the onboard spectro you with have to purchase a spectro like i1Pro or i1Pro2. That is assuming that your RIP will at least do linearization/calibration. It may also support profiling.
  14. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

You can not use any existing media period. At least ones that existed before the last firmware up date and that includes the generic ones. You have to create a new media. At the very top of each media type list is a setting that says create new media. That is the only thing that will get you...
  15. HP Latex L26500 Ink Maintenance kit full message will not clear

Think again. There is no chip on the maintenance cartridge.
  16. HP Latex L26500 Ink Maintenance kit full message will not clear

Is the white vinyl strip on the maintenance cartridge intact and completely clean white? If so turn the machine off. pull the maintenance cartridge and clean the line sensor. It is to the right of the printhead and fairly easy to see if light by a flashlight.
  17. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

Other color are certainly off it's just that grey is most noticeable. In the substrate menu on the printer if calibration says anything other than recommended it has been calibrated with the printer at some time. If that calibration was made before the .12 firmware the media setting is junk...
  18. Latex 360 color consistency is not there

Unless you see a lot of inconsistency with light grays or other light color you lc/lm printhead is probably okay. Did you create an new media (not a clone of an existing one) since the last .12 firmware? If so and you found the onboard calibration didn't work for you? As a test I did create one...
  19. Seal Image 62 - Loosing Its Mind

What I have done on my seal 6100 when it acted up was to pull all cards and connections. Then clean the connection and then loosen and retighten all bolted connections. That seems to have cured all strange behaviors for now. It has been operating correctly for the last couple of month since I...
  20. Difference between household inkjet printers , and production printers.

Did you read the label spec., something wrong with polyester? Not sure why the thread was even started if cost is not the issue. If you want to print normal vinyl and cost is not the issue, then you need to get a normal vinyl printer, latex, eco-solvent, solvent. Roland might be your best bet...
