I have to agree with Mike.. the next printers we buy will not be solvent.

It usually has to do with tension of the print and/or the lam going through the laminator. Make sure you're using as little tension as necessary to minimize this problem. I've also seen where somehow during printing/ripping the panels seem to change size a hair. ?? I dunno.

Don't remove the screws. You're opening yourself up to all kinds of problems if you do that. Learn how to apply vinyl over rivets and use the same method. And yes, you always cut the seams and make sure they are down well.

It's one thing to say you don't engrave a watch. Sure, you have the equipment to do it, but it's not in your direct line of business. It's another to fire a client who you have already done work for, and they are asking for something that you've done in the past. The "I don't do that work"...

The scan motor has a built in encoder also. The printer is contstantly comparing the readings from the two encoders as it prints. I assume the built in encoder is what it uses to sense where it is during cutting, much like a standard plotter.

I'd be thinking about an upcharge! What happened with the order? Did they say that they contacted you guys before?
