  1. Color Calibration

I've done hundreds of profiles, and I can say without a doubt the best advice is to hire a person for one day to teach you hands on, and then go to town on your media! Good luck!
  2. Trying new ideas

Point 1: I will have to give that some thought! For example when I am on Dell's website I live the slider. My wife also said Disney uses it and she loves it. So I will need to do some research to decide "if" I am going to use it, how to use it well. Thanks for the heads up. Point 2: The new...

Yikes you added to your post! I'll respond when I get home.
  4. Trying new ideas

FYI, I am going to have realtime shopping as well so the customer can place orders online and get quotes etc... So maybe a "shop now" in the upper blue. Or maybe specials. Or perhaps experiment and see what users respond to after a week or two of each blue section? Anyway thanks.
  5. Trying new ideas

Thanks signswi. How about get a quote now button up there? Too much? Or I can put some more sample pics, but I do to want to over do that either.
  6. Trying new ideas

I did mention at the beginning of this thread that I need to put something in the blue area. That is sort of fine tuning the project and I will decide what to put there. Do you have any suggestions? So, I am providing a link to the actual test site, which is NOT live to the public so to speak...
  7. Trying new ideas

Ooops! I did say that all photos are my own. Sheesh with the exception of that woman! She is an HP model at an expo for HP. Sorry guys. However, my wife is that hot! he he he
  8. Print matching between two machines

Yes onyx will help if it is one software driving both machines. With that said, making your own profiles is not as easy as one might think. Do you already have a spectrometer/densomitor? It takes about an hour to make each profile unless you have a batch scanner. Hope that helps
  9. Trying new ideas

So this isn't live yet, but after showing my initial ideas for the site, I changed it a lot. Two screen shots to show the basic layout. The top section with my logo to the left I feel is a little empty at this point, so I want to work on that. All images are my work, so I hope that helps a...

  13. The Bad Wrap update

How about a test drive of the product? I have never used it, never seen it, and to be honest with so many changes through the years with it, I was turned completely off. Sure you can understand that. With that said, how hard is it to let prospective customers download whatever is needed to...
  14. Graphic for a second entrance door

What would you have in mind, if the sky was the limit for the hideous building?
  15. folding banners???

OK, so maybe I would like to have that problem one day! 15'x50 sheesh man, what are you thinking :D I can see that though, but in that situation the banner surely is going to be seen from far away, so it matters much less. I would say anything 8' or less should be rolled? Yeah?
  16. Blue color prints purple on output???

If it is just for this job, I would make it easy on yourself, adjust the blue on the screen (ignoring how it looks on the screen) and run a test print. Unless it is a PMS match or going to be a repeated job, just take the easy way out. Also, printing in a file that is CMYK can do that, so maybe...

  18. folding banners???

besides... 3'??? why would you think of folding that out of curiosity?
  19. folding banners???

I have used a few outsourced banner dealers and they arrived folded. I got my money back an ordered elsewhere. If they are so naive as to fold a banner, they don't get my business.
  20. Graphic for a second entrance door

That guy reminds me of my friend Nick. Nick is now an imagineer at Disney, but his site is www.seenickdesign.com Totally different skill sets, but I bet they are kindred spirits! As far as what signs we do, mostly it is just digital printing. Lots of interior graphics, store signage...
