  3. Just a quick Flexi contour cut question

I agree with you accept that in the view filter there is no contour cut showing at all...this is the part i don't get.
  4. Just a quick Flexi contour cut question

I am trying to set up a contour cut on a 5 colour logo and I set it to-.01 and it shows that something has happened, but when I go into view filter, I see no contour cut. I backed out and tried again, and again shows no contour cut. I then sent the file through program manager as if I was...
  5. What's "straight" on a van?

Those Ford vans have that sloping roof line and everything one way or another looks off. I would also use the main body line as opposed to the roof line. The new Nissan vans have issues as well with the strange insert window area being off centre no matter howe you lay te vinyl down.
  6. uh oh, another husband , wife golf joke

I came home from the golf course today. My wife had left a note on the refrigerator: "IT'S NOT WORKING, I can't take it anymore!! Gone to stay with my Mother." I opened the fridge, the light came on, and the beer was cold... What the hell is she talking about?
  7. Whoa....................... this oughta be good.............................

I have no experience with Grimco, being up here in igloo country, but the fact that they are just down the road makes them very convenient for last minute items you may need in a rush. I have a supplier within a 5 minute drive from my shop and it saves me so much time to know I can order and...
  8. Think you're having a rough day at work?

Whats truly unbelievable is the business owner who is clearly guilty, has just ended his wife's political career.
  9. what I learned this morning by trial and error

    ...but I don't have a d140R Franky
  10. what I learned this morning by trial and error

Thats a lot of extra work, besides with my printer and software ( flexi and Mimaki) I dont just get registration marks that are used, we get a continuous line of black squares about an inch or 2 apart, so in reality you never know outside of the first ones where the remaining marks to be used...
  11. what I learned this morning by trial and error

Well it seems that worked once and not again as I have tried the lights out method yesterday and today and the same wandering of Mr Opus. More trial and error this morning on a job printed on matte material with no laminate. Should be a breeze one would think, but no....Mr Opus can't seem to...
  12. Hurry up! Hurry up and wait.

I think it is just a misconception by the real estate agents about wanting very few signs and thinking they can get them for what the company paid for 500 shells. Just need to teach them and they inderstand....none the less, they are a cheap bunch!!! lol
  13. could this be considered a fail?

Can't think that anyone would have thought to make sure this did not happen... but
  14. Men vs Women....humour

How men and women record things in their diaries...... ------Wife's Diary: Tonight, I thought my husband was acting weird. We had made plans to meet at a nice restaurant for dinner. I was shopping with my friends all day long, so I thought he was upset at the fact that I was a bit late, but...
  15. what I learned this morning by trial and error

OH I forgot to mention this little variable, and it is a real head shaker. I sat there Friday and I tried running the cutter and after a few minutes I was frustrated and re booted the plotter. Tried again with the same results... I then rebooted the computer and the plotter (as sometimes this...
  16. what I learned this morning by trial and error

My Summa d-140 can be a very finicky piece of equipment. It cuts great and as a plotter is good. The opus reader has been a thorn in my side for over 6 years. I have tried many cures but there always seems to be a job 2 or 3 times a week that frustrates the &^%^ out of me with the reader...
  17. The MOTHER of all Mothers............................

Gino, there's not much you can do outside of giving the customer your opinion on what will look good. I have toiled with some customers, but sometimes they know better than me..or so they think.... I remember back when I was first in this business with my 4b cutter ( 1987), I was doing a sub...
