  2. program manager frezzing and shutting down on this 1 file?

I rarely have this issue, but I have now tried printing this small graphic 3 times and each time the software goes into the non responsive mode about 3/4's of the way through the print. It is a bitmap that I have printed about 6 months ago ,so I can't figure out what the issue is. I added...
  3. Cheaper version of the Sooper Edge Ruler

I agree about the flat surface as I have a couple of these aluminum safety rulers and see they don't bend with the table. Like yours they stay hooked to the wall for the most part. I still use my 48" straight edge I bought 25 years ago. I think it is stainless steel and adjusts to most uneven...
  4. How to ruin a $65k Car?

That's an incredible wrap!!!! somehow you have made a car look just like a pick up truck wooohooo
  5. why have I been using medium tack premask all these years?

I must admit I like the thickness of 3M's product but there are times when you have to latch 2 pieces together and 3M does not stick to itself very well as I have found out while applying on the side of a truck and it just let go of itself right in the middle of the install. Some choice...
  6. why have I been using medium tack premask all these years?

So tell me why we use medium tack again? I can't remember why?
  7. why have I been using medium tack premask all these years?

I can't remember why I always buy medium tack pre mask, but had 20 detailed white vinyl decals come back as the graphics wont come off properly. I tried everything and thankfully it has the synthetic liner so I wet them all and removed the mask. I will now use high tack pre mask on everything...
  8. any tips on removing vinyl from aggresive backing paper?

I have a bad feeling that I used medium tack. I am going to try and heat them up from behind and see if that softens them a bit to remove. The weird thing is I use this stuff inhouse for vehicles and I rarely have issues removing the backing paper.
  9. 3M vinyl coming off track

Of all the vinyls this would be the least to have this problem one would think. Something must be wrong with the perf. See if you can send the vinyl back.
  10. any tips on removing vinyl from aggresive backing paper?

Sounds like a rediculous request, but I have to move about 20 vinyl cut logos from the synthetic clear liner to a silicone paper liner as the customer is having trouble getting the vinyl to release from the liner. I have to admit it is a pain as about half the shapes come off but other pieces...

  12. Badging in Signlab

I know how to dump the text in for one line, it is the process of getting the second line of info in. I tried several times, but it never understood what I wanted. that is the proceedure I need to learn
  13. Badging in Signlab

thats complete rocket scinece to me lol Although I have excel, I have never learned how to use it
  14. Badging in Signlab

when you say repeat the process for each badge, does that not defeat the purpose of badging. I use it as a fast way to set up similar signs with minor copy changes, but I chnage it all in one step and it multiplies them out for me...
  15. Badging in Signlab

It sounds like I have to type everything in manually by the description I have lot signs for a builder...one file or line is the lot # and the second line is the address. I know how to add 1 txt file, the second is a bit baffling, but I also figured another way and that would be to...
  16. Badging in Signlab

Anybody know if you can combine 2 elements off of 2 txt files to do badging with at the same time? I have 2 lines of copy on 52 signs that change and badging seems to be the only way I can accomplish this efficiently
  17. motteling on my 3m expensive vinyl

Funny that you know who I got it from.... I had to cut it all up, no time.
  18. motteling on my 3m expensive vinyl

here's a pic, hard to see but you can see the awful motteling and the tape marks as well. I always say to customers that 3m 220 is the best 2ml you can have, but hard to say that when it looks like this.
  19. motteling on my 3m expensive vinyl

I received a 10 yard roll of 24" 3m 220 black and the entire roll is modettled. There was even a split in the roll about 3 yards in and since that spot every 12" or so you can see the impression of the masking tape. My question is even though I am 99% sure it will go away, why do I as a...
