this is a great idea and would add a definite safety aspect to the ordeal.
there are a couple of questions I'm having
Access Room - it appears that regardless of the list type you are needed plenty of access room, more so with rear loading machines.
Media Storage - how are these media rolls...
we get our from Hexis, called Suptac 48in x 50yd Non-perf.Hex'Press Etched Glass Matt
works like a charm, has air release channels for easy install and takes OEM Eco Sol Max inks beautifully
with today's technology it is easier than ever for people to recreate / reproduce others designs.
that is why regardless of whom we are working with, ever design, layout, edit, etc... we do have a watermark and a disclaimer stating who owns the artwork.

Budget?
Inks?
Print area?

looking for paper based decal media, printing w eco-sol
is it variable data or same info?
if same info you would be better off using 4over or the like
regarding the cheapest option, Instant One Media or contact BigFish both carry really cheap vinyls
depends on the supplier,
we can get as many straight lines cut as we want for free.
having the ability to cut in house a MAJOR PLUS, while panel saws are very handy just be aware that when you start cutting the ACM sheets that black core goes EVERYWHERE unless you have a very good dust...
