We are looking at new Rolands and it appears that this EJ-640 has the same head [two of them] as our RF-640, which we have had great luck with and love, and it is full solvent ink. Any other comments please. Thanks Gene

Perhaps VanderJ could help us understand which machines work with V6 and Dual- I have looked on the Roland site and it is not clear at all.

It appears that 6 is a free update to Dual... wasn't Dual a free update to VW 5? I kinda thought 6 was replacing Dual [and VW 5]? I tend to hang back a couple months before doing updates, let some of Ya'll sort out the inevitable problems, ya know.

Good to see ya Doug- if you have a printer locally, do they cut their printed vinyl? I am retired but any color that is not worth stocking is printed and then cut. That is 80% of the work these days. Gene

I bought my first Summa T750 23 years ago from a local dealer and another one about 5 years later from SummaUSA [I think?] which is now Airmark. These people have always been more than helpful with the very few problems I have had with these machines and we used the hell out of them, and still...

I have some Romark with 3M 467MP [200MP adhesive]- it is .040 for ADS laser cut signage- looks like the tape [preapplied] is less than .010- maybe .005

We have had a RF for 4 years or so and it is a workhorse. I have never seen the dryer or even pictures of it so I cannot advise you there, I built a dryer with a black box IR dryer behind an aluminum panel that the vinyl passes over and we do not as a rule allow any drying time before...

Cuts really good with a laser.

Not sure which head you have- our RF is the larger head [2x2 inch or so] and that is a lot of area to seal, I clean it carefully when I pull out the wiper and scraper assembly to clean it and pay attention to where the ink is building up on the capping station- if it is consistently on one side...
