Before we got our printer we would get printed graphics from Gregory that was on a 3M material with black glue - we used it over graphics that could not be removed. Can't remember the series number but it did hold up well and seemed to be 100% opaque.

Kind of funny - after my reply to Gino on the grommets . Today we picked up a roll of banner from a local supplier and as part of introducing the new material - we received a free...... bag of grommets.
Can't see all of it but it doesn't look like it would be too hard to make out of brass or aluminum if someone in the shop is a handy with few hand tools. Might even check to see what a 3D printer service would charge.
