I had two shots in my back two years ago for a herniated disc. Doc said it was one of the worst he'd seen, and didn't expect the shots to work. He was recommending going straight to surgery, but I wasn't too keen on having part of my vertibrae removed.
The first shot worked within 24...
Castek beat me to it.. the encoder strip has nothing to do with cutting. The sensor is actually attached to the print carriage, which doesn't even move during cutting.
Can you be more specific with what your issues are? Pics?
I'm willing to bet Doug's as much of an Ahole in person as he is on here.
Not that I think he's an Ahole. I think he's a great guy, always willing to help out when he can, devoting countless hours to this community, along with many of the others who have...
You get a big boy torch to go with your big boy pants! Yay!
The torches are actually better than heat guns if you're apt to burning yourself. Torches are cool to the touch the second you let go of the button. And like GB said, get the trigger start Bernzomatic.
We run two Rolands. We typically run a customized version of PGVP for most vinyls, LBV for banner.
Printing on Maximpact is fine for bright vector colors, but photos and especially skin tones tend to be very blotchy and red.
It's a good idea to get your equipment dialed in, and then...
What's happening when you get the errors? Are you seeing stair stepping in the print? Is it happening when the print carriage is in the same position every time? Is it happening often or just every once in awhile?
Using max impact is a bandaid fix. You need to figure out what's up, as there are many images that'll print way off in max impact. I'd call your dealer out, especially because it's brand new.
I wish Roland would fix this issue.. along with the bug in the clip/tile function.
We printed two sides of 53' trailer last week with no overlaps. Nice.
I haven't been on a real vacation (I don't consider driving a day, then going to SeaWorld/Disneyland or the like for a day and driving home the next a vacation!) in a LOOOOOOONG time. We've been working our butts off, and dammit, I'm going to take at least a week off in the next couple of...
Out of curiosity, I went and looked at the newbie forum to see how many newbies are treated as badly as is being implied.. Didn't count how many threads were on the first page, maybe 20? (that's all I read--figured it'd be a good sampling) and there was exactly one thread where the OP was...
