  1. Anybody use Mac?

My gerber machine was basically a mac machine. Other than that, I've always been PC. What is so much better about a mac over a pc or vice versa ?? I really don't want opinions or emotional feelings, but facts to back up what is being compared.
  2. Banners Across Road

Depends. If you have a banner with a bleed, then you need to find someone who can finish it off without messing it up. You'll need to print it, save enough around the edges for them to hem properly. If you're gonna just put die-cut vinyl applique down with some digital prints, just buy one...
  3. Banners Across Road

When the banner is made, have spring clips sewn into the upper and lower hems about every 18". Double, if not triple stitch the hems and use 18oz material. The cables are strung about a foot above and below where you want the banner. The clips will clip over top of the cable. Then, tie off...
  4. Banners Across Road

If they are going across a road, it's gotta be at least a 30' or 40' span, even for a 2 lane road. You need cables. You cannot tie them off, unless it's for a day or two. Wind slits generally don't help. That's a myth.

  8. Any of your Cities, Towns, or Villages on fire yet?

There are all kindsa extenuating circumstances, but those are the few in reality. There are few enough cases for the government to help, be it medical care, comfort or surgery, but the vast majority of these things is exactly the same as the gun control problems. Careless and crazy people. Ya...
  9. Direct print on Kraft Gatorboard

As long as it's flat, it'll print to it. Try a sample and see if they like it.
  10. Direct print on Kraft Gatorboard

Most flatbeds will go between 2" and 5". It will print fine, but gator tends to not be as fine of a print as you'd think. It doesn't wick but it doesn't seem to put color down really well, even on white. Perhaps if you find some with a more non-porous facing. The signs still look great...

Ya know, if ya put glasses on that, it would look like a fellow member here. I hadda say 'that' cause I wasn't sure what gender it is.
  12. Any of your Cities, Towns, or Villages on fire yet?

So, you wanna let a buncha people who want a 5 or 6 year old determine what sex they are, when they have no frickin' clue.... decide on what to do to with an unwanted child ?? Probably that same child at one point. Other than lousy planning or no planning at all...... and some misguided...

  14. Where can I buy some nice beveled fonts?

  15. Dent repair?

Honestly, I think they should send it the right way. You're gonna see any patch type of work performed. If this is up high on a building, maybe, but if I was the customer, I'd want it right the first time. Unless you can create some need for a small overlay there so it looks like it was...
  16. Direct Print By the Piece Coro?

So, what size cnc do you have ?? Is it running basically all the time ?? At least 25 or 30 hours a week ?? Once you have 3 or 400 hundred cor-x signs a week, just keep doing what you're doing. Until you get up to that number, you're basically a PITA to most wholesalers. What you're...
  17. Dent repair?

We've used bondo on wooden signs and some duron. Not on aluminum. It'll probably look alright, but eventually break out from vibrations (winds and so forth), cause it's not gonna have a good bond. Also, the bondo and aluminum have different hot & cold surfaces which will create a problem.
  18. Is anyone running this railroad?

    25 on even/red.
  19. Direct Print By the Piece Coro?
