  1. The Lunch Box Logo

    Love it!
  2. received a cold call from this guy...real crook

A good old fashioned fax loop would do the trick! http://www.flickr.com/photos/prendswash/5020294060/ Tape three pages together of whatever you want... mostly black. Start the fax and then tape the first page to the last page when it goes through.
  3. Bent substrates... how is this done?

This sign is at baby'r'us. Its 2 8'x3' signs joined together, approx 2" this and the entire face has a gentle curve to it. The edges are edge laminated. In woodworking, a trick that can produce some drastic curves consist of slicing the wood to 1/8", glueing all the faces back together, a...
  4. need high res map

A redrawn map would be a much cleaner than a satellite shot especially something small on a business card. This is the latest 'map-type' thing that I did for our local fair. I used a google map shot and built everything on top.
  5. Snake Experts

Also if the head is attached to one of your appendages, it is probably a copperhead. :thumb:
  6. Cool Tool...

Looks cool, but a bit over-engineered.
  7. Squareness or not.............................

Agreed! I recently had 2 sheets of coroplast that were skewed by 2" The 8' fluting sides were parallel, but the 4' ends were leaning like Pisa. Also, this shirt idea is awesome.
  8. this sign just glows.

You should do a sheet of plexi on the backside so you can suspend the knockouts in the O and P.
  9. fire dept wouldn't put the fire out...

Perhaps the people in the community that oppose the policy would be generous enough to pick up the tab on those who choose not to pay. And then later, you can watch monkeys fly out of my butt.
  10. fire dept wouldn't put the fire out...

And I would speculate that most of the police departments funding comes out of taxes paid by those residents and that the fire department's do not, or rather specifically in that area. Again, he knew the rules and chose not to pay. Had they given the guy a break and put out the fire, I'm...
  11. fire dept wouldn't put the fire out...

I feel sorry for the guy, but I'm agreeing with Pat... He knew the rules, and chose not to worry about it. "Well I thought they'd come put it out even if you didn't pay the $75". I think the rest of the nation needs to impliment some tough love like this.. There'd be a lot less freeloaders if...
  12. What do you wear to work?

I put in some of my best hours in my pjs.
  13. Routing or CNC Knife for Gator

    I haven't done that, but I don't see why that wouldn't work.
  14. Routing or CNC Knife for Gator

Band saw, scroll saw work the best. Jigsaw would work, but would require a bit more finished sanding.
  15. Signs of the Time Vehicle Contest

Thats interesting... That's what I thought of the latest Sign Business mag.auto contest. Most of the wrapped vehicles were prime examples of what not to do. A clusterfk of visual vomit, 50 photos collaged together with an eclectic mix of necessary photoshop filters (Use them all; BTW). I'm...
  16. Ideas for substrate holder

Thanks to Woodsway for finding this picture.
  17. Is there service manual for GX-24 ?

Your vinyl got pinched . jammed and made the cutting head out of alignment. When it runs itself all the way to the edge, as horrible as it sounds, it is righting itself. It's happened to me a couple of times, but not to worry. Sometimes the vinyl will get off track and gather up all on one...
  18. Ronan Aquacote

Here's the plan... The billboard is out by the highway and the smaller sign is by the main entrance road. The billboard sign is in great shape. Whoever did it the first time knew what they were doing because they painted all edges and even the backside of each panel. The paint is in...
  19. Ronan Aquacote

That sounds great Jill. Impressed that aquacoat worked on metal... without a prime?
  20. Ronan Aquacote

I recently discovered a project that I had planned on repainting with the Ronan Paint line has previously been painted with latex. The boards are a couple of years old, paint has faded, but otherwise in great condition. Instead of painting with the Ronan Bulletin and lettering enamels, I was...
