  1. Another Punny

Thanks! My friend who owns an armory is coming by to pick up s few small signs. Saw this, ran out in the lot, cut a twig and bingo bango bongo, cartridge in a bare tree! He'll love it.
  2. Heat Settings for printing on 3m IJ680 Comply

I am also printing on a seiko 64s colorpainter. My heat settings are fine. I do have to set the heat a little lower for 63" banner material to prevent tunneling but other than that everything runs through at that setting and is fine. What is it doing that causes you to think the heat setting is...
  3. What would you call the strip of bristles on a brush?!

On my panel saw I have the "peep hole" attachment for those that do not trust the tape on the saw. I did not opt for the dust attachment when I bought it but if I connect my shop vac to the mount on the gaurd with hose clamp it works ok. Still have some cleanup but nothing like if you don't use...
  4. Heat Settings for printing on 3m IJ680 Comply

Mine are the same. From 3m's own profile that came with software.
  5. Screen Printed signs pricing question

Not once in over thirty years. I screen print coro by the box and pallet. I can't imagine what a pain it would be to ship them assembled.
  6. Taking my dog for her last walk around the lake.

Just noticed Daisy only has three legs. A fighter at heart for sure.
  7. Taking my dog for her last walk around the lake.

My condolences. The good looking Dobe in my Avatar had to be put down about two months ago. Still not over it. Still call his name in the backyard like he's coming from time to time. They really do get into your heart.
  8. Trick to lay down parking sign?

75 of them? I would buy the blanks pre-coated or coat them with reflective myself, whichever made more $en$e and screen print them.
  9. Lightest weight fabric type material you can print on?

I am asked quite regularly about printed fabric for band backdrops. A sample to "touchy feely" would be great. I print full solvent seiko 64s
  10. Fundraisers, non profit and other FEEL GOOD functions

The most recent was in October for me. I am a working musician and most of my friends are as well. We all banded together with our local American Legion and put on an all day most of the night show to raise money for Wounded Warriors. Even had some friends who are national acts and one member of...
  11. Suggestions for large scraps of lightweight banner vinyl?

Ha ,yeah that's it! Actually I went to teach high school for a few years and he didn't go to far after I left. Great guy, his wife is a saint. I enjoyed working with them and learned quite a lot.
  12. Suggestions for large scraps of lightweight banner vinyl?

Toss it. Not worth the space it takes in the shop. Years ago I worked at a franchise with two great owners. That being said, the boss couldn't bring himself to throw away anything. We had crap stored all over. I caught him trying to reuse transfer tape by hanging it in sheets on the wall. When...
  13. Graphtec ce5000-60 enter button doesn't work.

If you do not have the front and rear sensors for media covered your enter button will not function. Usually only a problem when trying to use small scraps. Try taping over both just for the heck of it and see if maybe one of those buggers is malfunctioning.
  14. Phototex

Do not laminate, overlap panels then cut butt joints= no problem with translucent. The opaque was made for darker walls so it wouldn't mute the colors from behind.
  15. Onyx 11 - Anyone else find it unuseable?

Had Onyx Postershop years ago on an encad printer. I think it came with it. Did ok but I didn't like it all that much, I can't even remember why. I upgraded my signlab with the next printer purchase to their print/cut version haven't looked back since.
  16. Window Perf AKA View-Thru vinyl - brand reccomendations?

Solvex will die faster than a fish on dry land. Oracal will do you just fine.
  17. Scanner recommendation?

When I first pick acquire image from pull down tab I have the option to just acquire vector. Set up, scan as normal and vector straight to signlab. I don't usually pick this option. I normally do the trace in signlab but the auto function isn't bad. It's been so long since I set it up it may...
  18. Scanner recommendation?

My umax can scan to vector using the vistascan software that came with it.

ebay, craigslist, newspaper, etc. Find a good used stomp shear . I use mine all the time. Radius corners can be done with a stomp corner rounder. Just like the table top varieties you can get different dies for different sizes.
