  1. Large custom check

No need to scan, just look at a check and copy the important parts. Regular glossy laminate will work as dry erase.
  2. Need some help with pricing

there is no good way to do it that is going to work for any quantity. think about it this way. even the dumbest little decal will take you about 30 minutes to get out the door from start to finish so really you should be charging 30 min labor plus retail on material. That would be the only way...
  3. How would you do this?

Ive never made a sign this large, it's an 10'X20' oval aluminum composite sign made from (4) 5X10 panels. The question I have is, How would you frame up the back? I made a template of what I was thinking, and an image of the sign itself. does this seem normal, or am I way off?
  4. Where to look for pre-owned Roland XC-540's?

I'll let you know when I switch employers, I have a feeling the owners will be closing shortly after I depart.
  5. Tiles aren't matching up

Does the second panel seem shorter? If so there is a good possibility that you inadvertently stretched the first panel. Any problem I have had with panels not lining up was by user error.

  10. Creative rights Documents

Background on this particular job is: while I was on vacation, apparently this client called and asked for a logo work up. The other day she calls and said it has been two weeks and she hasn't heard anything so I tell her I will look in to it. After I hang up the other designer says "oh yeah, I...

  13. promotional rights?

Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it. I do freelance design work on the side, but if anything that the client wants as an end product is something that we produce at our shop I bill the whole job through the sign shop to avoid any conflicts of interest.

  17. promotional rights?

I should probably have my finger bitten by a cat for starting a new thread, but hey, Im lazy. Working for a Signshop, do I have promotional rights to the work that I design in the absence of any written or oral contract between myself and my employer? I.E. can I put a layout I designed at work...
  18. Logo we just finalized

P.S. I noticed a lot of your designs use an RGB Blue. Might want to stay away from that since it will be impossible to match when printed.

  20. Crazy request....

Yeah she Said you have to pay. I didn't ask how much it was, but I figured I need to buy her a new book anyway since some thing got spilled on ours and stuck a bunch of the pages together, so I was hoping to just get the recipe to hold me over till I can get to the barnes and nobles to buy a new...
