Yes .plt file type. I know Illustrator can't open the .plt, was just using as example of another program... maybe not the best example. But the files won't open in any other program either.

I am Running Omega 5.0.0.1369 and everything is up to date. It's just on select files so far. I have a feeling the files got corrupt some how (since they can't be opened in Illustrator etc.)

I dont think it was screen printed, i think it was printed on a a solvent printer.. I was at their shop once and i think it was this that was printing.
